The next thing we need to know is the actual difference in elapsed time between strong-armed shortstop throws and weak-armed throws (obviously not including the lollipop throws when the thrower is extremely off balance) and how those translate to out vs. safe calls!
Eovaldi will always have a very good place in Red Sox history. Everyone remembers Game 3 of the 2018 WS, But that was just the kind of player he is - he gives you everything he's got. Pretty amazing career in spite of being derailed numerous times by health issues.
Put it this way, I don't think any Sox fan would be averse to signing Robertson.
Crazy that Robertson isn't signed yet, assuming he still wants to play. Maybe he only wants to play if it's the right amount. There haven't even been any rumors about him that I've noticed.
Yep, he's even worse than the critics of the signing suggested. But maybe some of them were being polite. I remember one guy being quoted as saying "I have no words", which was chilling.
Understood, but the signing was a big deal for Bloom, given the amount of money involved and the budget he was working with. Plus he spent another chunk on Justin Turner to be primarily a DH. While only $10 million on the rotation. He has to wear it IMHO.
Horrible signing by Bloom. At first people didn't realize Yoshida was only suited to be a DH, but once they did, it was hard to figure what Bloom was thinking shelling out that much money.
Yoshida will be 32 in July, also.
Yeah, what I'm really wondering is if MLB would see it as a "phantom IL" abuse thing. They sort of cracked down on that a bit with the former Mets GM, right?
