  1. Springer isn't a glorified platoon player like Crawford at least.
  2. They might make you a tough guy, but are useless for seeing the future.
  3. Isn't he also on your "more likely to be a problem than a solution" list?
  4. Only men with crystal balls can say.
  5. C'mon man, you're better than this.
  6. Red Sox Nation in general is not in top spirits these days. Interest in the team has been sagging. Losing Mookie was a bummer. We thought the tax re-set would lead to a somewhat exciting offseason. Instead it's been a snorefest from start to finish. Maybe that will change in the upcoming weeks. 14. No one pays any attention to Scott's binders.
  15. That's natural. The waiting game is no fun.
  16. There was a time we thought they might actually exceed that first threshold, because of the re-set...
  17. We're still $30 million under the first tax threshold after making a lot of re-setting the tax rate. Surely there are a few acquisitions in the near future.
  18. Pitchers' arms are incredibly fragile. Or maybe it's more accurate to say that pitching does incredible damage to the human arm.
  19. Yeah, but you'd have to do it for 9 years, remember...
  20. The perennially contending Yankees had to give Gerrit Cole a contract that shattered the previous record deal for pitchers, to get him to come to NY.
  21. I also remember Kerry Wood signing with the Cubs in 2011 for what was reportedly much less than other offers, because he really liked his time with the Cubs.
  22. Some might say if Perez is an addition for us, DJ is an addition for the Yanks.
  23. MLBTR is outstanding.
  24. That's because it was the mother of all salary dumps.
