  1. Especially with MLB's super-clever modern managers.
  2. I have also noticed that Cashman seems to have a thing for physical hulks.
  3. Bogey's opt out is after the 2022 season.
  4. You too. I'm actually kind of pumped for the opening series between the Yankees and the Jays.
  5. The last time there was an opening game to a full season, we were defending champs.
  6. -Their guesses are as good as ours. -If anyone could predict sports results with consistent accuracy, they'd be filthy rich.
  7. Looks like a good time to shut this thread down LOL
  8. Or maybe they wanted to look at Verdugo in CF for as many games as possible and finally decided it wasn't going to work?
  9. So they're going with Kike in center after all.
  10. So Bloom plucked 3 guys from the Yanks - Ottavino, Whitlock and Ort?
  11. You are the Roster Fiend. I don't even recognize his name.
  12. One thing is for sure - the Yankees face a nice test to start the season with the Jays. I know it doesn't mean much, but the Jays were 16-9 in spring games and the Yanks were 14-12, and stumbled noticeably the last week or so, with nobody hitting. Bring it on.
  13. Just read that Houck is working on a splitter and threw some today.
  14. This is a pretty good day so far.
  15. Yes, it seems simple enough.
  16. 2019-2020 fWAR 3.5 - in approx. 1.4 seasons
  17. I don't know about Rays fans, but I can imagine how Red Sox fans would feel if it was us.
  18. Good news about Cordero and Barnes.
  19. Who has had bigger issues in big spots than Chapman? 3 monster postseason home runs in 5 years. Something no one else in history has done, I don't think. The Cubs overcame one of them. The Yankees could not. What do you tell yourself about that?
  20. Sanchez is back to being terrible at the plate. 4 for his last 30 with 15 K's.
  21. And Kluber labors badly in his final tune-up. Can't finish the third inning.
  22. He had one bad game, basically. But since he's on our team now, you're gonna go with that and throw out the rest of his career.
  23. The Jays finished 1 back of the Yanks last year and added Springer and Semien. Yeah, decidedly worse!
  24. Both of who hit below .200 last year. Yet you speak of them with enthusiasm. Kind of typical of the rose glasses thing.
