Anyone remember Chase Wright? He allowed 4 HR in his second game pitched for the Yankees in 2007 - to the Red Sox.

It does make sense that the WC winners' chances are less than 25% because of the handicaps, and maybe more like 20%. I'll buy that. Which means being a Wild Card team gives you only 40% as good a chance as being a division winner.

And if WC winners had an equal 25% chance, the expectation for those 8 years would be 4 teams in the WS and 2 winners. So it's close, so far.

Is there any reason to think there will be significant changes to the tax system? I think the only changes the players can really push for are higher thresholds.

Detroit was 8-19 in April, but is 43-38 since then. And they're 30-24 at home. So they're not the quite the cupcake we had come to know and love in recent years.

The most inexplicable thing with the Yankees is why they haven't replaced their hitting coach. They are second to last in the AL in runs scored per game - behind the Orioles!
