  1. Bloom is as patient as it gets LOL
  2. Can't blame a guy for liking California. And apparently San Diego is beautiful.
  3. There's a suggestion that Scherzer is in control of the trade, because he can veto any team, if there are multiple bidders he can pick the winner. That would be wild.
  4. According to the advanced defensive metrics, Rizzo's Gold Gloves were yet another joke of the award.
  5. And they're in third place in their division.
  6. By the same token, Rizzo's apparent decline phase is only about one full season long.
  7. Those are in the ballpark of realistic.
  8. He's not the same since the crackdown. He's had some Cole-like games, but his overall numbers are nowhere near as good.
  9. He probably will be, soon enough.
  10. Want to delete that unfortunately timed post, moon?
  11. Both of those 2 inning appearances were in the last 16. Plus 2 other 4 out appearances. You are really making me WORK, MAN.
  12. Last 16 - 3.31 ERA And he can pitch 2 innings. Not saying he's good, but not bad for the back of the pen.
  13. I would put Verlander and Greinke in that category, but Scherzer seems like a reasonable bet.
  14. Berrios is younger, but Scherzer is still better.
  15. Workman has been somewhat useful recently. Andriese is a goner for sure.
  16. It doesn't hurt to have a little depth for injuries, if you can manage it. But with guys like Valdez and Rios stepping up, Richards could certainly be out of the picture.
  17. The back of the pen, that is. Maybe he would do better there. It's a pretty small matter one way or the other at this point.
  18. Cherry-picking for Whitlock: In his last 19 appearances, covering 29.1 innings, he has allowed 2 earned runs, for an ERA of 0.61.
  19. With my wife and me it's more like a constant standoff LOL
  20. 2 + some sort of fancy option for a third might be good.
  21. Gallo isn't under contract for 2022, it's his final arb year.
  22. Joel Sherman points out that Gallo is exactly the kind of player Cashman seems obsessed with - another big hairy monster.
  23. I don't know about the triceps issue, but assume they wouldn't trade for him if his health is in doubt at all. His contract was $210 million for 7 years with half of it deferred. Going to be an interesting two days.
  24. It's a little easier to outhit the other team when they're facing Scherzer.
