  1. He does keep him on the squad though.
  2. I don't think you'll be enjoying that much longer.
  3. It's hard to predict what you'll get in return on one of these deals, but the Orioles got precious little when they traded Machado to the Dodgers in 2018.
  4. They've been missing some RBI opportunities, sure. But the back of their baseball cards says what kind of hitters they are. They aren't our problem. The pen is.
  5. If it's all about RBI, I guess that makes Story more productive than Devers.
  6. I've always liked him, even though he wore the pinstripes for so long.
  7. Yes, he only hit .337 with an .878 OPS in June. Terrible!
  8. Robertson has had a rock solid career. He's no spring chicken but appears to be 100% healthy. Also, his career ERA of 2.88 is identical to his career FIP. That alone should be worth something.
  9. Robles isn't good, and he's been terrible lately. But he's cheap and he was adequate last year, so I can see why Bloom brought him back. He's a fungible asset whose service time has expired.
  10. No, it's not the worst idea. It's just another bad one.
  11. Peter Abraham suggests trading for David Robertson and doing it now! Robertson may not be the best choice, but he wouldn't be a bad one. As always the question is what we'd have to give up.
  12. You know neither is happening. It's the freakin' bullpen that needs to be addressed.
  13. That's a little too much work for me, but you can pretty well figure it out by the way Cora uses them, or doesn't use them.
  14. I think Robles or Danish is more likely to depart than Diekman.
  15. I think Robles will go but Brasier will stay.
  16. Good point.
  17. That's minutiae that even I cannot get motivated to delve into. My question is, what is the actual difference between cash and cash considerations...
  18. I do think he has a pretty cool name.
  19. Silvino, we hardly knew ye!
  20. One thing I think has become obvious is that we need another effective RH reliever more than another effective LH reliever. Especially vs. the Yankees and Jays.
  21. I'm starting to lean to the speculation that Whitlock will go back to the pen for the rest of the year. It might not be the ideal thing for the long term, but it looks like it is for 2022. It would give Cora 3 legit RH late inning guys. A lot depends on Sale, and Eovaldi's health status.
  22. Now that's funny.
  23. The Jays' Matt Chapman's play at third base is a thing of beauty. Amazing fielder.
