    If you're a stolen base fan, you're kind of rooting for the wrong team. For many years the Red Sox were notorious for their lack of speed and their emphasis on slugging. I'd say it was actually analytics that changed the team's approach.

    Abreu's .953 OPS in 128 Fenway PA's is attractive.

    Abreu also leads the AL in hits, has a .383 OBP and a 137 OPS+. I think he has to be a target if the price is "reasonable".

    And another "interesting" decision by Booney, bringing in Weissert to face Correa with the game on the line. Weissert has an 8.22 ERA after the game.

    True. It was almost a shocker when Gausman and Stroman both accepted QO's prior to 2021.

    My guess is no QO for Nate and a big push for Wacha.

    Honestly, we've spent too much time and effort on the JBJ trade. The Sale extension is costing us 25.6 AAV per year for nothing, by comparison.

    I wouldn't be surprised if Wacha signs an extension with the Sox and soon. Nate I'm not sure, he had a bad year both health- and performance-wise.

    Devers has been struggling since coming off the IL. Maybe he has some lingering issues with the hamstring.

    It's a fair question. My guess is that Devers is not 100%. If we were still in the hunt the decision might have been different.
