    The scariest thing about our rotation/depth list as it stands? We have one pitcher - one - who pitched as many as 80 major league innings last year.

    More grasping at straws. Texas showed they've decided to spend big last offseason. The only unexpected thing about the Mets is that they're spending even more than expected.

    Bloom said he wanted to acquire a starter with "upside", "leadership" and "innings". What the hell was he talking about? Was he telegraphing that he was looking to make a trade? Or was it just another whopper?

    I'm not dissatisfied about that, but I'm dissatisfied we haven't acquired a single starting pitcher yet. I sincerely doubt we're in on Rodon, and the word is we're not in on Eovaldi. We seem to be down to Kluber or a trade now.

    The organization has the unmistakable odor of dysfunction about it.

    Either they were surprised by the market for Bogey and the prices, or they were lying. Based on their track record, it's pretty hard to give the benefit of the doubt any more.

    The Sox FO is probably more concerned about NESN viewership.

    Maybe because the Red Sox said he was their #1 priority, and people made the mistake of believing them.

    And we know we're not going anywhere near Rodon. He'll likely be in pinstripes.

    A lot of starting pitchers are already off the board. Waiting for the right deal might be a great strategy this offseason. Or it might really suck.

    Because injuries only happen last year, not next year LOL Sorry man, I'm just so pessimistic right now. I admire those staying optimistic.

    We also had many more talent losses, and were 21 games worse than them in 2022, so let's not get too rosy about it.

    It doesn't matter what any of us say, though. It's up to the team to know what they're doing. I think we've all agreed that there are no excuses for not making the playoffs this year.
