    If we're giving up on 2024, sure. If we're not giving up on 2024, I fail to see how having Jansen on the team is a waste. It's all about how this ******** front office has us thinking these days.

    It might not be punting, but the return would have to be good for anyone to like it. And which teams would be interested in Jansen or Martin for one season only? Probably only teams that are all in on 2024 and have a need in the bullpen. Phillies maybe. But who would they be interested in trading that would be helpful to the 2024 Red Sox?

    The price is a tad lower, hopefully. I'll take anyone who has ever tasted success in the big leagues, however briefly, at this stage. (Excluding those who are dead, retired etc.)

    Yes, they really need to trade for some overhyped pitchers and overpay them instead. Burnes is all set to sign an extension with any team that blows him away.

    I'm not really buying the stuff about Cora's future being in the Sox front office, either. He's getting hung out to dry here too. I don't see how he can possibly be happy with what's going on.

    For those who didn't read it, McAdam basically confirms the Sox are NOT in on Montgomery.

    To me it's plausible and helps explain why they didn't get around to trading him until February. Mookie also said there was no 300 mill offer, and that claim hasn't been refuted either. It's all in the land of rumors, innuendo and speculation and forever will be, I guess.
