If you take his whole career you've got 755 innings and a 14.2 fWAR. That's about 3.3 fWAR per 175 IP. Average is about 2 fWAR per 175 IP. -
moon's numbers for 2021-22 say otherwise and appear to be 100% accurate. He was good in the abbreviated 2020 as well.

Personally I think it's mind-boggling that in Bloom's 4 seasons, the biggest contract we gave to a starting pitcher was $10 million. Not sure I'll ever get over that one.

Gun to my head, I say yes, they did lie or mislead him about the payroll. He's got a good paycheck, I'm sure. Nice roster? If you call a roster that's projected to be about .500 but could easily be under again, sure. Stars on the way? We hope.
