  1. I don't have any positions. Well, Noah Song was a slightly embarrassing exception.
  2. In one of my favorite statistical anomalies, Chris Martin has a -0.06 FIP.
  3. Way too early, I know, but my confidence in Breslow is actually pretty high. I think we have a real baseball brain in charge now.
  4. That's the problem with taking positions on baseball prospects, they're usually wrong.
  5. From Gabrielle Starr: Alex Cora got a loud chuckle when he explained why it's Tyler O'Neill over Wilyer Abreu in RF tonight: “I got a five-game losing streak on Opening Day, and he has a four-game home-run streak (on Opening Days) so, analytics.”
  6. It does have more of a point than the one Deja Doh started.
  7. Yes, welcome back Max, you are always fun to read.
  8. Pessimistic bastard. I'm going with 80.
  9. Have to keep the lanes open.
  10. I see it as 'a new thread in which to complain about ownership, CBOs and anyone else responsible for us sucking'.
  11. Lots of good potential developments and one huge question: how in the hell is this rotation going to hold up over 162 games. They signed the innings eater they needed, but he gone.
  12. Walter now on the shelf. https://www.masslive.com/redsox/2024/03/red-sox-face-another-pitching-injury-as-depth-lefty-has-rotator-cuff-strain.html
  13. There are mute buttons and radios and things like that.
  14. Poor John. The franchise is only worth $5.5 billion or something absurd like that now. As usual, we're the ones who pay for all of it.
  15. So this is your last post on the Red Sox for a while then. OK, catch you after the Celts and Bruins are done.
  16. Have to give Breslow a fair shot. He's made some good moves given the constraints he seems to be under. You can make sense of what he's doing at least. That wasn't always the case with Bloom. I'm optimistic about Breslow, and still pissed at Henry.
  17. And the Sox had no need for him because they signed Giolito.
  18. As comic Steven Wright's father told him, "If worse comes to worst, we're all screwed."
  19. Not me, I'm just here to have fun.
  20. $376 million is a lot of dough.
  21. Yes, the Interest Kings do stay engaged and connected.
  22. A stance that lines up nicely with POCKETING some dough.
  23. And of course it remains to be seen how perfect Yamamoto was. Personally I think his contract is the riskiest in history.
  24. "If the team is winning" is great. The fact is we've won 78 games 2 years in a row and are projected to do about the same this year.
  25. Henry has never been outspent by a dozen other teams 2 seasons in a row, though. No matter how we frame it, that's new.
