No, but I have a lot more faith in Gonzalez to turn it around than I do Crawford. Gonzo already put up a solid season here. I've already said Crawford gets his job back. I just don't want Nava traded. If Crawford doesn't get it back together fairly quickly, he's going to be a real problem.

Crawford was flat horrible for an entire season and now injured for half another season. There are good reasons to be concerned about him.

Crawford hasn't exactly been the picture of health, productivity, good technique, or any other positive traits these 1.5 years.

I have to agree, Dojji. Nava's got a 2.0 WAR in 30 games, Crawdads had a 0.0 WAR in 2011, anyone can see that Nava is helping us win games, and a lot of people are going 'Sell high! Sell high!'. I think these message boards really bring out the armchair GM in all of us, me included. Sometimes the overthink is pretty funny.

Sure, obviously Crawford gets his starting job back. My only position on Nava is, don't trade him.

Hard to say whether Hughes is ruined. He's had 6 quality starts since May 6. There are a lot of similarities, though...the Yankees and Sox decided there was more potential value in these guys as starters than as set-up men, even though they had a lot of success as set-up men.

There's no freakin' way they let go of Nava now. Valentine would go medieval.

I'm pretty neutral because I don't really have a team. I have to say LeBron was pretty amazing this postseason especially starting with Game 6 against the Celtics.

Nava has an OBP of .477 in the leadoff spot. That's pretty respectable.

The Tigers could have been extremely interested in a one-year deal when VMart went down. That's an example of unforeseen s*** coming along to change everything. All you need is one team out there.

In each of the two starts before the debacle, Bard gave up 2 runs in 5.1 innings. When Doubront has starts with those numbers, everyone thinks he did just fine. The expectations for Bard as a starter were too high to begin with.
