  1. Today is Gomes' day to do something.
  2. It would make me so happy to see Colon get nailed for cheating again.
  3. Cross me off the list of Aceves supporters. He smells like toast.
  4. He could be in the goddam All-Star game at this rate. That'd be swell.
  5. Colon you 40 year old fat cheating f***. You do not belong on an MLB ballfield.
  6. So the panicky Halos dropped Hamilton from 4th to 5th in the order for last night's game. He goes 4 for 4. In the bottom of the 9th they're losing 7-6 with a man on first. Mark Trumbo, the new #4 hitter, makes the last out with Hamilton standing in the on-deck circle. Sometimes baseball is so poetic.
  7. I'm with you. Colon is a dirtbag.
  8. An error cost the Jays another game last night. They have lost at least 3 games recently because of errors at the end of the game.
  9. Amen. Colon still pitching and putting up good numbers doesn't reflect well on baseball's integrity.
  10. It's certainly OK to have a man-crash on Mike Napoli. I know the RBI is not what it used to be, but he's got 25 in 19 games.
  11. In spite of his ugly K numbers Salty is not doing that bad. His OPS of .755 is about average for a catcher. And his Catcher ERA is 2.85.
  12. From a big Nava fan (me), I think this is a very reasonable position.
  13. Put me down for the under on both of those numbers.
  14. Hamilton's average salary over the contract is actually 25 million. He's making 50 times as much as Nava this year.
  15. Yankees lost, need O's to lose too. If we win the nightcap we can pick up 1/2 game on each.
  16. I don't know how Ortiz's heel is, but his batting stroke looks great considering the layoff.
  17. Nava's ceiling may be higher than that. He seems to keep getting better. Some of his dropoff last year may have been due to the wrist injury. We'll see.
  18. Fred actually behaves much better here than he did on Sawxheads when I was there.
  19. Yes, thank God we didn't trade him.
  20. Latest figures have the 2013 payroll for tax purposes at 165 million, not including the additional 8 million Napoli will earn if his hip conditiion doesn't put him out of action. Lester is under control through 2014. (Team option for 2014 at 13 million.) Pedroia is under control through 2015. (Team option for 2015 at 11 million.) The really good news - Buchholz is under control through 2017 (Team options for 2016 and 2017 at a total of 26.5 million.)
