  1. How much money was initially put at risk with Morales and Iglesias?
  2. More like a quick 72 million down the tubes. Oh well. It's pretty wild that a guy who is simply not good enough to play major league ball is going to end up with 72 mill pre-tax in his bank account.
  3. Check out Phil Mushnick's columns in the New York Post. He is constantly ripping ESPN to shreds with just cause.
  4. There are very few lefty starters on other teams in the AL East. Yanks have CC, Jays have Happ, not sure if there are any others.
  5. Panic or a sense of urgency are not necessarily bad things. In any event the team seems to be responding well to these moves.
  6. Over the last 12 games Mookie has a 356 OBP and a 901 OPS. Glad we had him in the leadoff spot those games.
  7. Because it's madness.
  8. I can't believe you put Trade Pedroia in your sig.
  9. I'm thinking no sooner than September.
  10. Pound them into gray dust. Get Girardi so frustrated that he goes off in the clubhouse Hal McRae style.
  11. Bradley has had some key hits lately too.
  12. We are 0-6 in his starts, 5-10 in his appearances. So not too good so far.
  13. That's a very good, if politically incorrect, analogy.
  14. SinceYaz is one of the nicest Sox fans you will ever meet. BDC emigrants need a little training, that's all. Over there some people would start 3 threads a day and it was considered normal behavior. Moving over here is like transitioning from the NL West to the AL East.
  15. It was a great trade for us. We don't have to face Syndergaard hardly at all, and Dickey helped Steven Wright perfect his knuckler.
  16. I was agreeing with you that his age was the issue. He was 38.5 years old when he threw his first pitch for the Jays.
  17. Exactly, if he was a young Cy Young winner it'd be a different story.
  18. Sox faced LHP 28% of the time last year. That is definitely a low number, I think the average is around 32%. Just have to hope Young makes it pay off with some AB's against lefties in big moments - which will come, hopefully.
  19. I agree, but there's still a kind of inbred sentiment among a lot of Sox fans that you have to prove yourself against the EE, even when they're sucking a bit.
  20. Cubs have a run differential of +79 (136-57) in 22 games.
  21. Jays traded him and Travis D'Arnaud to Mets for R. A. F'ing Dickey. Disastrous.
