    David Robertson has been a beast for you guys. Of all the moves you made around the deadline, that was the one that made me the most nervous.

    It was plenty close by any reasonable definition. It went to the second-last day of the season and having to use our #2 starter and our best available players to win on that day.

    You make me laugh with statements like these, moon, you really do. For putting Holt in the lineup as much as he did and for putting him in the 1 and 2 spots, you were calling Farrell an idiot, clown, criminally negligent and on and on. Nobody on this site spent more time trashing Farrell than you did the last few months. You were going full-on Seabeachfred. Maybe you've changed over the years. But you have been a hardcore Farrell basher and there's no way around it. You're perfectly entitled to be that, it goes without saying...but don't try to portray yourself as a Mr. Reasonable type, because you haven't been.

    I don't know, Cleveland looks the best team in baseball and they were 5-2 against the Yankees this year. But anything can happen.

    Cano should age well. He seems like a strong physical specimen. And he has conserved his energy over the years not running out routine grounders.

    Edgar Martinez should be in the Hall. One of the worst omissions, really. Frank Thomas kicked open the door for DH's, IMO.

    Don't forget that Marco missed almost the entire season this year. He's probably got his work cut out just to get back to major league game shape.

    Personally, I think Farrell is going to try to win this one, and I think that's probably a good idea. But I don't want to sound like a Chicken Little.

    It was a little different situation for us last night as Houston jumped out to a big lead early. The Yankees had a lead. You could argue either way, I guess...but I'm sure glad Girardi played it the way he did.

    I don't understand why he didn't have his best relievers lined up. The 3 previous games were blowouts for the Yankees. And he could see that we were getting hammered. Strange.
