  1. Mookie was the 172nd pick in the 2011 draft. How lucky is that, that no one else took him before that?
  2. Holt might start tonight with a righty on the mound for LA.
  3. Dombrowski has no idea what he's doing - isn't that obvious this year?
  4. Cora told ESPN Deportes he's playing.
  5. Some folks are absolute geniuses at finding stuff to bitch about.
  6. Very useful response.
  7. How's he doing against lefty starters this postseason? Happ 2 for 2 !!! Sabathia 0 for 1 with a HBP Keuchel 1 for 3 Kershaw 3 for 3 !!! Ryu 0 for 2 with a walk Total 6 for 11 plus a HBP and a walk - against some of the best. I'd say he's doing just fine!
  8. Beni wasn't brought up too soon. He's been good from the get-go.
  9. Cora says he's playing, but isn't sure where yet LOL
  10. It's just, why keep raising such a catastrophic and remote possibility?
  11. Eovaldi pitched an inning in each of the first two games.
  12. It is a little surprising how many of the medical experts and baseball wizards here at Talksox are talking about sitting him.
  13. Faith rewarded or what?
  14. I'd rather not even think about it. The odds against it are incredibly high. And Buckner should have been replaced by Stapleton anyway, of course.
  15. You have the right number except for one thing. Cot's doesn't update the tax numbers for in-season acquisitions. So whatever our tax cost is for Eovaldi, Pearce and Kinsler has to be added on.
  16. That's happenstance, though. A guy might make 10 errors that don't lead to runs, then make one that leads to 5 runs.
  17. I'll settle for 'highly successful', I guess.
  18. I was gonna say, just stick him in a corner of the outfield and tell him not to move outside a 3-foot radius.
  19. How sweet it is when your GM is making one good call after another.
  20. This offense really does not live or die by the home run ball. Neither Mookie or Beni have a home run in the postseason. Beni's last homer, in fact, was back on August 31.
  21. Flexible predictions are always good.
  22. Does that mean bold moves are always bad moves?
  23. Probably not going to be able to re-sign him. But man, what a force he has been this postseason!
