  1. The site owner wants the articles. Surely you can wrap your head around this. If not just move along.
  2. Feels to me like Bleis has been in the organization forever LOL.
  3. I'm not even sure what an argument for it would look like. If you've got a few guys dealing, wouldn't you rather see them every fifth game than every sixth game?
  4. Larry calls out bad performance whenever and wherever he sees it. He's not playing favorites, he has also roasted Bregman for a pair of errors so far!
  5. The 6 man rotation seems like a bit of a white whale. I mean, can anyone name the most successful teams that utilized one? In fact, can anyone name any teams at all that have used one for an extended time?
  6. That'd probably bring his OPS over 1.000 LOL. We have 4 S's in effect: Small Spring Sample Sizes.
  7. I think Breslow has tilted the balance to where pitching looks like a strength and the Big 3 need to stay put.
  8. I think Cora explained it well. If Crawford and Bello were healthy it'd be a conversation. As it is multi-inning relievers are what they really need. At the rates pitchers are getting injured at, a 6 man rotation might be a pipe dream.
  9. All we've got is some Small Spring Sample Sizes to work with.
  10. Except he was talking about Yoshida. 🙂
  11. That no-hitter came on June 25, 2010. His ERAs by month for 2010: 6.67 5.58 2.11 7.24 1.47 4.93
  12. And yet you'd still be throwing in 35-40 million.
  13. We don't have enough prospective second basemen for you?
  14. Yeah, it's Scutaro 100%. This looks like the actual picture. https://www.boston.com/sports/boston-red-sox/2010/09/14/ask_amalie_17/
  15. What?????!!!!! Hell no. Breslow already did the blockbuster and got Crochet without giving up any of the big 3. This would be lunacy.
  16. The first difference is significant, the second is massive.
  17. I'd say no. Because like Devers, his best position is DH. You can only have one DH. The Sox arguably have 3 of them already in Devers, Casas and Yoshida.
  18. I guess I just don't get the point of an impossible hypothetical.
  19. I think the numbers show they can't possibly hit .800 or anywhere close to it as a tandem. Cora probably did his utmost to get them off-hand matchups last year.
  20. DHam and Romy were both utterly horrific against pitchers of their own hand - both .500ish OPS - we're talking helpless. (This was a huge problem for Sox hitters in general last year.) Platoons can be counterproductive when the hitters are that one-dimensional and we have as many pitching changes as we do now.
  21. It's understandable that he's not happy about the prospect of not playing third base any more. But his latest comments indicate he has no desire to cause any problems for the team, which is the main thing.
  22. Much better. I hereby vow to keep my trap shut about Devers and third base until at least Opening Day.
  23. True, but the only statements he's made are that he isn't going to play anywhere but 3B. Those statements are still just kind of hanging there...
  24. Yeah, it's unfortunate but he's really putting himself behind the eight ball. If he won't back down on his refusal to DH or play 1B, he's going to look like a major malcontent, like Manny in '08. And we know how that ended.
