  1. My reluctant prediction is you're going to see a redux of Rent-a-Wreck.
  2. Poor Roenicke. He has no chance.
  3. Oh yeah, the doubts about his health are well founded, that's for sure. On the other hand, most pitching arms seem to be ticking time bombs now.
  4. I think I'm down to one topic I can argue about, which is Eovaldi. I don't get the excitement about trading him if he has a good season. So we would get rid of 2 years @ 17 million. Terrific! Then for legit starters we'd be down to E-Rod, with one year left on his contract. Yee-haw!
  5. Playoffs? Playoffs?
  6. Yeah, I'm with you. The Boston Red Sox trading Devers for a bunch of prospects makes zero sense to me.
  7. What a fugly day this turned out to be.
  8. DD signed Sale to the extension in late March 2019. So that would mean they wanted to fire him while he was negotiating a 145 million deal. Does that make any sense to you?
  9. That rumor doesn't make a lot of sense. Fire him when, exactly?
  10. So much for hope LOL
  11. At the time it was exciting. In retrospect, just another crock of BS.
  12. The only thing interesting and compelling about McGwire/Sosa was balls flying out of the park at a record rate though.
  13. I think this one was a ground ball that got past the outfielder.
  14. Considering that Weber tossed 3 innings yesterday, maybe the plan is for him to be a starter, not an opener.
  15. Sore ankle, appears to be nothing major.
  16. I see two areas in which MLB is trying to grow revenue recently, and they're both pretty yucky: 1) Gambling-Draft Kings/FanDuel. 2) Nike swooshes on uniforms.
  17. They're getting him to throw more cutters and they think he'll be better as a result. Let's give Bloom a chance.
  18. A 4.37 FIP is pretty much major league average, so that's a point in Weber's favor.
  19. There's absolutely no excuse.
  20. Yes, I read that too.
  21. Wow that's a cutting remark.
  22. Rusney is hitting .538.
