  1. Red Sox claim LH pitcher Stephen Gonsalves off waivers from Mets. Churn baby churn.
  2. As a Canadian, that hurts, Kimmi.
  3. In. (as Slash would say)
  4. Yes, you can never count on E-Rod not to get COVID-19...
  5. Except Dodgers who are 6-0.
  6. What's Jeter Downs's trade value, I wonder.
  7. Mookie who? .364 OPS in his first 2 games.
  8. Yeah, he's clearly out of the equation.
  9. Get it started?
  10. Was the over/under zero?
  11. That was a theory that was floated, but I never really agreed with. Great plan if that was it!
  12. Jeez, great support of baseball by Canada. We lost the Expos, maybe we can find a way to lose the Jays too.
  13. The simple point is they traded him to a team that was in a great position to extend him. So if they had serious intentions of going after him in free agency, it was quite risky. If they no intentions of going after him it was fine. But if that's the case what's this 'disappointed' crap from Kennedy?
  14. That's true too, but it doesn't change the truth of what I said.
  15. So, the 2018 World Series champion Red Sox have had: 1) The general manager fired. 2) The manager fired and suspended. 3) The best player traded and gone forever. 4) The ace pitcher have Tommy John surgery.
  16. Or will it be a parade of pigs?
  17. Just to clarify, I wasn't doubting that he said it. I think it was kind of a dumb/******** thing to say.
  18. Personally I like the Dodgers' confidence. Or maybe what they're thinking is 'Well, if the pandemic destroys the world, this contract won't much matter anyway."
  19. The pandemic probably did play a part. But the Red Sox should have known the Dodgers would make a serious play for Mookie. -Friedman had created some payroll room. -The Dodgers are set up to be contenders for a while and have a good organization. -It's a good place to play. -The Dodgers had to give up some talent for Mookie so it makes sense they weren't just looking to have him for one season.
  20. That works for me too.
  21. Which raises the question of how much more at risk MLB players are than the general population right now. Are David and his family in lockdown?
  22. Well, it's probably a good thing they're trying to add something for the fans.
