  1. I love ya too Pumpsie. Represent!
  2. What about Jenks providing anything? If he's even remotely healthy, he should. What about the young pitchers? Tazawa, Alex Wilson, Doubront? What if at least one of them comes up aces? Why can it happen for other teams but not the Sox? What if Bard or Aceves is stellar in the rotation? What if both do? What if the Sox sign Kuroda or Oswalt and Bard becomes a lights-out close, Aceves a good #5 and the signing pans out? There are a lot of things that can go right for the Red Sox, but for some reason, everything HAS to go wrong.

  4. Oh no, i gave pumpsie's feelings a boo-boo. I sincerely apologize.
  5. DON'T YOU TALK LIKE THAT TO THE ONLY GUY WHO KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT THE SOX SHOULD AND ARE GOING TO DO. Good post though.
  6. No, that's you. Calling others short-sighted. Being a constant explosion of negativity is what's really short-sighted. Think about that for a second. BWahahahaha or whatever.
  7. What the f*** does this even mean? If someone on this site has been consistent in saying the Sox shouldn't mortgage the future to win now, that's me. However, that doesn't mean they can't make some short-term improvements that will allow them to improve the 2012 team without sacrificing the future. Get off your high f***ing horse.
  8. The Red Sox have a #1. His name is Jon Lester. Last year was just a bump on the road. As for getting a #4, the market itself if prohibitive in terms of acquiring a #1 or #2, thus the need becomes a #4.
  9. Is there a possibility of something good actually happening for the Red Sox on 2012, or does your prediction end in "and then a napalm missile completely destroyed Fenway Park"? Jesus f***ing Christ.
  10. They do need a #4 starter. Signing an effective one on a one-year deal would help a lot for 2012.
  11. I don't think they're done with their acquisitions, which is why it's being reported everywhere that they're in on guys such as Cordero, Oswalt and Kuroda. What this means is that they're not looking to get into multi-year contracts with their sights set on 2013 and beyond.
  12. Says the ignore-using pussy.
  13. Garza had a 6.6 K/9 and a 3.91 ERA, then he goes to the NL and the K/9 jumps to 9 and shaves almost a run off the ERA while all of the other peripherals remain pretty much the same. Artificially made (NL) improvement if ya ask me.
  14. Why not Marlon Byrd? He can actually play the OF. Also, Lavarnway and WMB should not be a part of a deal for a pitcher you will have for two years. Both project as everyday players for the Sox making the league minimum. That, in itself, is more valuable than two years of Garza.
  15. Garza's a good pitcher, but not that good. Soriano, even if he weren't overpaid, still sucks. Marmol would be a good option for the 7th inning were he not making seven million in 2012 and a guaranteed 9.8 in 2013. In my opinion, not a good idea.
  16. Why are you so intent on selling the farm for two years of a good, not great pitcher, an overpaid OF who can't catch the ball or take a walk, and a closer who can't close?
  17. The guy admittedly doesn't know anything about the system, but he just HAS to spout an opinion. Incredible.
  18. Henry and LL have supposedly "opened an invitation" for Tek to remain with the Sox on a capacity other than player.
  19. It still doesn't have jack s*** to do with the thread, and even worse, it's not quoted. The dope is the one who doesn't quote before he 180's the subject of a thread.
  20. You mean the same "impression" that has been posted in this same thread over and over again, but with numbers to back it up? Groundbreaking.
  21. Really? That seems to be far and away the number one reason you post on this site.
  22. I agree with the self-proclaimed troll about Jacob's potential. The Sox have a potential superstar in their hands.
  23. What does that have to do with anything posted in this thread? You're a strange one, Soxsport.
