  1. Because of that one time he slid wrong and jammed his shoulder? Where do you come up with this stuff? XD
  2. You're obviously an expert of hyperbole, but you know exactly what i mean. They can make a run this year and keep their core, while making adjustments in the offseason. This team's main problem doesn't even seem to be personnel-related, but rather something about the organization itself and their conditioning habits. That's what really needs to change.
  3. Who was the Cardinal's ace last year? How many aces did the Phillies have? Nuff said. Be realistic.
  4. What the hell are you talking about? On a one-game playoff and short playoff series all bets are off. Last year, the Cardinals were arguably the worst team to make the playoffs and they won it all. For the love of God, stop being a broken record with that senseless outlook.
  5. That's the basis of the question. What do the Sox need to do to create a "sustainable" run? Do they need to trade for a starter, bring up someone, get a certain type of bench player? Should they stand pat and run with what they got until the walking wounded come back?
  6. What does that have to do with Ortiz making (or not making) the HOF?
  7. The A-Rod, Ripken and Hanley path? When that happens, the guy has usually developed massive power by his mid-to-late 20's. Let's hope that's what happens with Bogaerts.
  8. Make your bed and all that.....don't get mad brah.
  9. Not "pretty" good. He's been historically good. They got dominated on a stadium where their offense usually struggle anyway.
  10. I wonder if Soxsport popped a vein (or several) once news of the Rockie's 75-pitch limit for starters experiment went public?
  11. Although they are 6 games out for the division, there's still plenty of time left for the Red Sox to contend for the crown, and they're right in the thick of the WC race. Pertinent numbers for the Red Sox as a team: Current record: 42-38 (T-3rd AL East) Pythag record: 45-35 Runs scored: 407 (2nd in MLB ) Runs allowed: 355 (18th in MLB ) Run differential: +52 All of this has been accomplished while the Sox have enough players on the DL to create a roster that could play .500 ball and win the AL Central. So what should the Red Sox do to compete for the division and make a deep run into the playoffs?
  12. You love busting balls.....why u get mad when i bust yours? XD
  13. Oh i know what i'm talking about. Every other day you make one of these threads about how this player regressed, this player sucks blablabla. It's why you have your very own chart. I mean, it's a compliment, but i see it as a backhanded one looking to heat up the discussion about him being made of glass. If i'm wrong, i'd be surprised.
  14. Ortiz won't make it. No chance.
  15. I have never seen a poster on any site as predictable as Jacksonianmarch. But hey, in baseball, consistency is a good thing. Even if you're consistently bad, you're still consistent.
  16. Good Riddance. Hopefully WMB's injury is not serious.
  17. You do know Parker is the first pitcher since 1918 to allow 1 run or less in 10 of his first 14 starts? Sorry, but the NESN guys were right on that one....kid's pretty good.
