  1. Fred doesn't like logic.
  2. You are not a doctor, you don't know what you're talking about.
  3. What more due diligence? The only thing they could have concluded was whether or not there was a tear in the tendon. There wasn't one then, and there isn't one now. Otherwise, it's a crapshoot, since achilles injuries are extremely unpredictable. You're just looking for ways to whine about the FO. Par for the course.
  4. Because people are innately douchey and tend to focus on the negative so they can insult and put down others?
  5. Now THIS is common sense.
  6. Tomase's not a doctor and it's obvious that Ortiz is frustrated, but that doesn't mean he'll miss an extended period of time. Also, did you read MVP's link? That article is from today.
  7. Any news that put him more than a couple of weeks behind schedule? Last he said was he's been doing everything except the hardest stuff pain-free. Most of the other stuff you read around here is conjecture from people with too much free time and a big imagination.
  8. What are you even talking about? Did they really have an option? From a PR, money and production expectation standpoint, Ortiz was a need, not a luxury. They expected him to be ready to begin the year or soon after and that timetable hasn't changed. It was the right move even if he suffers a couple of setbacks. You're trying to reinvent the wheel here.
  9. Hindsight is 20/20. It's easy to perform "expert analysis" and judge after the fact.
  10. Divinity's comment is still dumber, and he's still stealing others' material.
  11. Funny you mention that Divinity, because i have a software i use to identify plagiarism in papers that says otherwise. In fact, just using google clearly shows you were blatantly copying Passan.
  12. The women in your family would die of sadness if something were to happen to me, so i suggest you stop your wish casting.
  13. It is. Fevers get out of control and those pimple-like thingies are extremely susceptible to infection. My problem was that the fever developed way before the marks appeared and wouldn't go down, but after they did show up, then the Dr. knew what to do. Needless to say, i'd never felt so s***** in my entire life, and i've been through some serious health problems.
  14. Watching the DR-Venezuela WBC game. Someone just called Pablo Sandoval "Fat Ichiro". I lol'd, and it hurt when i did.
  15. Was in the middle of moving and getting acclimated to my new job, then got hit with a chicken pox attack that nearly put me down for good. I'm feeling better now, so i'll be around more.
  16. Fred, you just don't know what you're talking about and refuse to admit it. You've already been proven wrong on the subject multiple times. If someone's a turd here, that's you. Anyways, i won't argue with you anymore. If you can't admit it, that's fine, but stop spreading around false information.
  17. They didn't. And here's the problem: It's not only the Red Sox who didn't think he was an option to receive an ML contract. Think about the number of teams with a need for cheap relief help, and yet only the Mets had enough interest to take a flyer. There's something there we're not seeing.
  18. Jackson, for as much as you accuse SFF of being a homer, that post demonstrates that not only are you a homer too, but you're a way worse one. Take off the rose-colored glasses.
  19. There's a reason for that IMO. As great as he looks in low-leverage situations, teams are probably weary of his lack of stuff and advancing age. If you look a bit deeper, you'll also notice some of his advanced stats aren't pretty: A .261 BABIP, 85% strand rate, and 3.42 xFIP.
  20. He couldn't find a Major League job for a reason. You need to look deeper than the superficial numbers. Atchison's already fringe stuff is diminishing as he ages, and he's not a high-leverage type of reliever.
  21. What Major Leaguers and people in general are usually concerned about is money. The best chance of making money for Atchinson is out of Boston. On the other hand, i just don't see the reason for complaining because they didn't sign Atchison to a MiLB deal when, as you stated above, they have plenty of options. Even if Morales and Aceves have to go into the rotation at the same time, they have plenty of minor league guys who can come up and contribute.
  22. I would take this seriously if you actually, for once, told one of "your guys" to back off instead of the person he's arguing with.
