  1. Except that his velo's still down. He is a historically slow starter though.
  2. Don't we have enough threads about the team's backup OF/1B? Seriously Dojji, cut it out.
  3. First off, it's not my fault you worded it poorly. "Working the count" and "getting on base" are clearly two different things. You were wrong in that respect, so i corrected you. Second, i'm on board with the fact that the Jays are overrated. Not because i don't think they'll hit (they will) but because of how many health question marks that team has. Leading the team in that department are your favorite player ever and their "new ace" Josh J., and post-op Morrow.
  4. Yes. No idea how that happened.
  5. Did you read what i posted? I was strictly talking about plate discipline. I've been on the "Blue Jays are overrated" bandwagon since day one, but what Station 13 posted is nonsense. Their problem is not going to be plate discipline. It will be pitching and injuries. @SCM, don't know how i quoted Thunder.
  6. So Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion, J.P Arencibia, and Colby Rasmus, all of whom have P/PA's of 3.70 or higher for their career, and all better than Jose Reyes don't work the count, and he does? GTFO. Also, (and i don't mean to be rude), but why do you type like a monkey on meth using a typewriter?
  7. Daniel Nava hit a HR. We are winning thr World Series.
  8. Yes, because you obviously had a lot of faith on Iglesias.....
  9. Haren was probably the best bet of the bunch, considering cost/certainty, but he wanted no part of the Sox. JJ's velocity has been diminishing for years, only one year of control and expensive. Marcum is post-op and had obvious health issues. Buehrle, a soft-tossing lefty in Fenway (and expensive to boot) would have been a disaster. Dickey's a knucler. No explanation needed. It's common sense stuff.
  10. Marcum isn't looking so good either.
  11. Encarnacion's nickname should be changed from E-5 to K-5.
  12. The Detroit Tigers are really really bad on defense.
  13. However, notice how little consistency a700 exhibits when he wants to whine about something. He's usually complaining about how players will get out of playing games over the smallest things because they're prima donnas, but now "players want to play". Which is it?
  14. Jose Iglesias is good at baseball.
  15. They theorize "bicep strain" on twitter. That would be the best case scenario.
  16. And they've put up a ton of quality AB's every single game.
  17. Home run notwithstanding, Lackey has looked really really good.
  18. Gomes puts up quality AB after quality AB. Even if he struck out this time.
  19. Napoli's pressing. He needs to chill the f*** out.
  20. Lackey's got some fire in 'im. If he can pitch well, this team will be very very tough to beat.
  21. Tell that to Andy Petitte.
  22. Well now i'm going to have to start doing that, good sir. Today's prediction: 5-3 Red Sox win.
