  1. Name one guy with PED connections who has made it to the hall. I shall wait here.
  2. You mean against the White Sox, since he pitches for the Mets.
  3. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/d/diamoth01.shtml
  4. Who the f*** is Thomas Diamond then?
  5. Really Red Sox? Thomas f***in' Diamond?
  6. That split was not in a good place, but he got the out. Baseball for ya
  7. He's very good, and will likely be even better, but he's not a finished product just yet.
  8. This is a great post just because you actually managed to use the term "lickity split" in a sentence.
  9. Let's put it this way to end the discussion: Some players don't care that much about making insane amounts of money, but a lot of players do care about that. Most players who are in it for the money sign with Scott Boras and take it year-to-year, and that is their prerrogative. If Ellsbury wants to go to the open market (and he probably does) and sell himself to the highest bidder (and he probably does), that's his right, and there's nothing we can do about it.
  10. For someone who claims to be very smart, your reading comprehension is not very good. Let's leave it at that.
  11. You're way too optimistic with your assessment of some of these young players.
  12. Sorry about that, should have quoted, but didn't see your post until after i made mine. Should've guessed it would be confusing.
  13. Then get ready to lose it, because it's probably not gonna happen.
  14. My head may just explode. Let's put it in simple terms: I said that *when* the Sox get Morales, Hanrahan and Bailey back then the 'pen will have shutdown arms in the back of the pen. To which a700 eloquently responded with "duh". My response to that (which inexplicably sparked this whole debate) was that it's not a "duh" situation because given Bailey's fragility it's not a sure thing we WILL get Bailey back with the other two, at least not right away. Pretty simple.
  15. I don't quite think you're following here.
  16. Yeah it has been reported that it's just inflammation and he's expected to miss the minimum 15 days, but you just never know with the guy. Let's hope for a speedy recovery.
  17. Tweet from Jon Heyman: That's probably the correct course of action.
  18. On topic so dumb and dumber don't derail the thread further: Yeah that doesn't sound good, Hanrahan may be out for a while.
  19. That would have been possible if he hadn't started a game yesterday. Doubtful they bring him up because of that.
  20. Man, being an internet tough guy must be hard work. Attack who? You're not making any sense, as usual. Stick to saying "i agree" after a700 posts. Especially Lackey coming off surgery. I think Tazawa should indeed be given a shot at closing, but i think you're understimating Breslow. He's pretty good.
  21. Oh, an unprovoked personal attack, the a700 special. Please tell me again how you don't attack anyone and others attack you with your typical victim act.
  22. Isn't the uncertainty the whole point of the comment? We could have Bailey, Morales and a healthy, non-awful Hanrahan back with the club within the next twenty days. Then again, we couldn't, and that's where trouble would start.
  23. I need patience. You need a pill for your Papelbon addiction. It's unhealthy.
