I don't think he'd be a decent value at $23 million per if he can't play at least 120 games a season at C. And let's see your power point is legit, the fact that his time at C is getting severely limited to protect him from injury is impossible to refute. He played 74 games at C last year, and only 37 of his 55 so far this year. We can agree to disagree on this one, but: A ) He'd be almost impossible to move, and they have little interest anyway. B ) Unless he can stay at catcher full time, he's not worth 23 per.

Napoli is probably not staying with the Sox beyond this season. Someone will likely give him more money than the Sox will feel comfortable offering.

Bogaerts is not staying at SS long term. If Iglesias can get on base, why trade him? WMB has a lot to prove, and if he does regain his control of the strike zone, then he could be moved to first base. I don't get the obsession with trading.

Man so many deep counts for Iglesias

Almanzar's power is prodigious, and his work ethic, pitch recognition and general plate discipline have vastly improved. He, along with Bogaerts, Brentz, Lavarnway (who still features big power for a C) and Brandon Jacobs are all guys who either have plus power project as plus power right handed hitters in the Sox system.

I don't think anyone here thinks Hamilton is washed up. He's a supreme talent going through a rough patch adjusting to his new environment.
