  1. Again, year-adjusted production. 2008 was still a bash-and-smash year. But if Kojji finishes this season out while reaching 70+ IP, you can certainly make a case for Koji's season being better than any that Rivera's ever had. But you can't right now, and that was your initial point.
  2. You very much channeled your inner jung here, but with much better punctuation and sentence construction. You know what? I take that back, you didn't channel your inner jung there. Who else makes walls of text on this site that are actually readable?
  3. They got their asses kicked.
  4. Except that you actually really can't. Mariano's 2008 season (1.40 ERA, 0.66 WHIP, 316 ERA+ in 70 innings) was arguably the best season a reliever has ever had in terms of overall numbers and park+year and league-offense adjusted production.
  5. You know who was the first guy to jump on the "Koji for closer" bandwagon? This guy. Great win all around. Lackey continues to be a horse (pun intended) for this rotation.
  6. Yeah but "average" includes all of the scrubs and middle relief types. He's essentially pitched like Clayton Mortensen, but with more K's and less control. And what do you mean by "normalize?" His WHIP and ERA are right around career norms. Normalize to what?
  7. English kinda sucks. And Jesus didn't talk, he just multiplied bread and turned water into wine.
  8. His ERA is s***** for a reliever, especially a closer. His BABIP is high because he's giving up line drives at an insane 25.7% rate. It's mostly his own fault. The walks are also his fault. His only saving grace is the fact that he's keeping the ball in the park. Otherwise, he's sucked, and there's no logical explanation for expecting improvement.
  9. And it's painful in other languages too. You know why? Because f*** spelling and grammar, that's why.
  10. He has a 1.44 WHIP and an ERA near 4. The funny thing is that both of those numbers are not very far from his career (1.36 WHIP, 3.75 ERA) numbers over a significant sample. He IS this bad.
  11. Except that both Zuckerberg and Bon Jovi are *******s.
  12. Seriously though, how can Tom Brady be a Yankees fan? He has good taste in fashion, booze (so i've heard) and women. How the f*** can someone with good taste (or class in general) be a Yankees fan? What makes it even worse is that he isn't even from New York and he plays for a Boston team! Seriously, f*** Tom Brady.
  13. Arguably, being a Yankees fan is worse dude.
  14. Just because Tom Brady is a giant douche does not make the Pats or their fans anything less than awesome. Oh, and f*** the Rockies and the Steelers. (You're a Steelers fan right? if not, insert your favorite football team here)
  15. You can find some gems in there though. But in general, yes, comment sections are awful. Especially youtube. f*** youtube.
  16. He's doing that in the closer role already. So basically it'll be maintaining the status quo, but in a different inning.
  17. King Felix got destroyed by Texas today. 3 IP of 8 ER ball. Worst outing of his career.
  18. It probably wouldn't be, because the Roosevelt fanboys would probably get all butthurt at the mere idea that someone could be as bad-ass as Teddy. For further illustration about how such a discussion would go, refer to the comments section of any Roosevelt-related article at cracked.com. The troll-fu is strong with most of those posters.
  19. Except that hot dogs are not actually meat. Unless you consider a hoof meat. WIN!
  20. That has a lot to do with the nature of the OPS+ formula. There's no denying that offense has significantly declined throughout MLB though.
  21. Rays lose. Awesomesauce. Thank you Rodney, we'll make sure you stay on the Sox' payroll for at least another season.
  22. Rodney is the Red Sox' best player.
  23. Fixed that. He has to like it, because he can't be that bad against the Yankees yet a decent manager overall.
