  1. This doesn't make any sense. They can do both at the same time (not referring specifically to Beltran, but to FA's besides their own).
  2. Playing him at 1B may be exactly what they're thinking.
  3. Not surprised given the market. Also, accepting that 4 million option if he lost the year probably had something to do with the value of the contract.
  4. JJ's contract includes a 1.25 bonus if he makes more than 26 starts. It also kicks in a club option for $4 million for 2015 if he doesn't make more than seven starts.
  5. Why the surprise? He sucked ass and was injured most of last year. He wasn't going to get much more than that on a pillow contract.
  6. Hart will take a 1-year deal to rebuild value per reports.
  7. Boras is his agent. It's a typical tactic of his to overshoot his initial demands like this. Don't know why this surprises you.
  8. The whole "will only play on X part of the country" is usually silenced by a wad of dough, as we have seen several times. As for his D, there's not a lot to go on since he hasn't played a lot of 1B. He does K a lot, but not as much as Napoli.
  9. Owens is not ready, Barnes is not ready. Webster is an option, but Workman might not be. RDLR, Webster and Anthony Ranaudo probably get first cracks at rotation time when someone goes down.
  10. When Peavy and/or Buchholz eventually miss time due to injury, the whining about trading Dempster will break the sound barrier if the Sox trade him.
  11. For the records, reports indicate that the Sox view Hart almost strictly as a 1B after his knee troubles.
  12. According to Jim Bowden on Twitter, the Red Sox are one of four teams to express interest in Corey Hart so far.
  13. I gotta use some more smileys all up in this bitch. I've gotten into some trouble lately because my humor is misconstrued as aggression.
  14. Relax, i'm just busting his balls.
  15. Except that that's exactly how he got to office, and "sucking less" is not an accomplishment.
  16. Hahaha who said i'm a Democrat? Don't get your panties in a bunch.
  17. I took a print screen and will hang it on my bedroom wall.
  18. Bush is not a good example, since most (if not all) of his success has come from his father's help and manipulation of the system.
  19. Very good point. Good post as usual Bellhorn.
  20. According to Sean McAdam, the Red Sox have around 25 million to spend instead of the 32 million presented by Alex Speier. That would make the off-season plan a little more problematic.
  21. From MLBTR
  22. I'm sorry man, you're just to easy to troll. I'm just messing with you. Bush does suck though.
  23. It's funny you're calling ME a 12-year old when you're trying to turn a comment about a university into a political debate. I can't help but LOL. Oh, and Bush sucks.
  24. I just think those conclusions are pretty uneducated. Lol.
