    That really doesn't hold water. Arizona still sucks, and the AS game is a showcase of people who have accrued great individual stats. Pederson has been better than Pollock in that regard.

    There are independent publications who do this stuff. Baseball America has their own scouts who do their own rankings. And there are independent (but well respected) scouts who do their own rankings. None of these publications or individuals are associated with any of the teams. Now, mlb.com has their own rankings, but they are supposed to be objective rankings as well, as they're not associated with any team in particular.

    How and why would you know better than the people who scout players for a living whether or not the team's overall ranking is deserved? It's a serious question, and not meant to start a fight, because the people who determine this stuff aren't idiots.
