  1. The only thing Porcello is a victim of this year, is unadulterated sucking.
  2. Yet you wonder why I rag on the guy.
  3. It's intellectually dishonest to take the heat off of the offense. The putrid May record was mostly caused by a huge stretch of May where the team was averaging 2 runs per game. The '98 Braves couldn't have had a winning month scoring two runs per game.
  4. I'll take that as a compliment too. It's what I'm here for.
  5. I'm not little. Quite the opposite. I'll take that as a compliment actually.
  6. I don't get the whining about Miley. Save for a couple blow-ups, he has been solid.
  7. But other teams won't give a f***, which is why your initial premise was faulty. You called sk out on not mentioning Hernandez because you see that he's doing well this year. I am telling you that means jack squat. Your opinion is your opinion, but it certainly doesn't affect the way the league views this kid.
  8. Why do you always come up with the "many serious analysts" or "many serious publications" ********? You can present your arguments yourself, and you never present your "sources" anyways. Cut that s*** out.
  9. The reasoning wasn't faulty, the execution was.
  10. Talk about rationalizing.
  11. People have that concept of Ortiz as a primadonna because he's quick to run his mouth about everything. Talk is cheap, however, and Ortiz' real contributions can be seen on the field. Those contributions, as have been presented above by Dojji and the others, speak volumes, and can't be denied.
  12. With four teams on top for the division, and around the same for the WC? If Buch is down with serious injury, this team is done. I'm positive, but also realistic.
  13. But the first symptom is usually forearm tightness, from what I've seen. Usually the elbow pain and discoloration around it happens when there's already a full tear. I'd defer to the Yankee-loving douchey doctor here, so he has the opportunity to be useful for once.
  14. How did you come to that conclusion? If anything, it would force the team to sell.
  15. TJ is usually precluded by problems in the forearm, not the elbow.
  16. Because he's a fringe prospect having a decent luck-fueled half season. The scouting reports tab him as below-average to average in every offensive category.
  17. Run of good posts by Dojji in this thread. Kudos.
  18. I was just at one in Bavaro and it was f***ing terrible. I've been to the Riu complex and it is the tits. Not too pricey either.
  19. You're falling into the same trap the Sox seem to have fallen into a couple times in the past. Players are not robots, they are people, and a lot of the problems they have outside the baseball diamond make their way into it.
  20. If you're going to a beach resort or one of the big cities with a tour guide. Otherwise skip.
  21. The AL East is eminently winnable. Cueto (with an extension) please.
  22. Oh, so the BABIP is sure to decrease, but there's no chance the below-average HR/FB corrects itself, boosting his slugging?
  23. Haren has a 3.41 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP against the Sox for his career, not too shabby. He's 2-7 against the Red Sox though, even though most of those losees came during better days.
  24. She was going to draw a turban on it too, but that may have been a little bit too much.
