  1. Cora's cheating stole a World Series. What he did is far worse than anything Pete Rose did. It was equivalent to the Black Sox scandal. Cora should have received the same penalty as Shoeless Joe. What's more, he back stabbed Bloom who agreed to re hire him. Cora has character issues. Standards have fallen so much that they let this cheater back in the game. Outrageous!!!
  2. I can think of at least three but there are more. I will let you come up with the list by yourself. If you are honest you will know.
  3. For what its worth I disagree. He is a sneaky backstabbing cheater. Most over rated manager in the MLB.
  4. We should be so lucky
  5. Cora isn't Art Howe and Breslow isn't Billy Beane
  6. Don't underestimate Cora's influence with Breslow's bosses.
  7. Don't you think your last comment is a bit over the top and libelous.
  8. Bloom was always a scapegoat. He was hired to trade Betts. They actually thought Bloom could make some deals that could make lemonade out of the sour lemons he signed. When they realized he was too indecisive and couldn't they fired him. Everyone knows Boston's entire approach towards pitching sucks. So they have hired Breslow to fix that but with no budget to sign high end free agents. Breslow may have som success at realigning their approach towards pitching but in the end he will be fired too. Because that is what Henry does.
  9. I have thought for sometime that Henry's first priority is building the FSG empire and the Red Sox are only one enterprise in that empire. An article in the Athletic implies that Henry is more interested in developing Fenway Park and its environs as a year round destination than the Red Sox team at the present time. With 4 titles under his belt I think he is serious about building a sustainable club without spending exhortation rates for free agents who are no guarantee of producing a winner.
  10. I think Bloom was hired to trade Betts. Henry knew that would cause a firestorm. Bloom was his scapegoat and sacrificial lamb. (Sorry for mixing metaphors) Breslow was hired to revamp the Red Sox entire approach towards pitching. I do not think free agents signings enter much into his thinking which is why Henry signed him.
  11. I have long since discounted any reports about the Red Sox being interested in any particular player. I will believe it when I see it.
  12. I hope the Boston does not try Devers at first. I firmly believe Devers has the ability to be a gold glove third baseman. His problem is primarily he rushes his throws. Secondly he is too short for first. The MLB average is 6ft 2. Devers is about 6ft. I think the foot work required at first would frustrate him. Thirdly of all the issues facing the Red Sox Devers defense at third is hardly the reason they only won 78 games last year. Once everything else is sorted out then the Sox can focus on Devers defense if they wish.
  13. All I know is I have a heck of a lot of new neighbors who used to live in Connecticut.
  14. It is well documented that folks are fleeing New York because of the tax differences.
  15. The number of New Jerseyites and New Yorkers moving to Southern Delaware the last few years has been staggering. Invariably when asked why it is because of State taxes. A similar style house here vs New York or New Jersey will be about 15 000 less in property taxes per year.
  16. I was in Halifax a couple of months ago. I found Nova Scotians more upbeat than other Canadians I have spoken with recently. Unscientific I know but I found it interesting nonetheless.
  17. OMG it finally happened Moon has transitioned into Seabeachfred !
  18. Yea like the old baseball saying goes you can never have enough coordinators.
  19. Didn't the Red Sox just hire another coordinator?
  20. That is the point we do not know. Cohen made it public that he had dinner with Yamamoto. Henry must do the same, otherwise he is hanging Breslow out to dry IMO.
  21. The key point is the Henry must do what Cohen did and meet with Yakamoto with Breslow. Henry must put his personal prestige on the line. The talk in Boston is that Henry has lost interest in the Red Sox. A public gesture would help show that Henry still cares about the team.
  22. If it exists, the dysfunction in the front office is all on Henry. I think he has allowed the FO to become a bureaucracy where too many voices have to be heard before anything is done. He can end it by empowering his CBO.. One way to empower Breslow is too make a personal pitch to Yakamoto if he is the pitcher Breslow really wants. The Mets Steve Cohen has met with Yakamoto twice. If the Sox lose out on Yakamoto without Henry backing his CBO then it really says Henry is not that vested in his CBOs success.
  23. You who has the reading comprehension level of a third grader are in no position to lecture anyone on nouns and verbs.
  24. Horse s*** You only came late to the party after it was a fait accompli. You have zigged and zagged on Bloom for the last several months and have taken every position possible, so you could cover your ass and claim you were right whatever the outcome.
