  1. Simple Bloom sucked at his job. Cora and the rest of the Red Sox FO wanted him out as did the vast majority of Red Sox Nation except the Legion of Bloom the majority of whom are found here. Henry accepted the wishes.
  2. Only on the Boston market. He actually has been quite active elsewhere.
  3. I do not think Henry sucks as a person but his personality type is more data driven than people oriented. He knows that FSG as a business entity has more growth potential in other areas than MLB. That is where he has his main focus.
  4. For the record Henry is more interested in expanding FSG's holdings than making sure the Red Sox return to the playoffs.IMO
  5. They meaning Sam Kennedy and his level. None have had an actual interview with the owner John Henry according to yesterday's article in the Athletic.
  6. Henry has yet to interview a single candidate. An interesting bet would be: does the House elect a Speaker before the Red Sox select a new HOBO?
  7. Once again your limited comprehension skills make you ill suited to draw any conclusions from what others write. You are historically unable to draw the proper conclusions from a simple declarative sentence.
  8. While this may be a stretch for some, I think DD's success in Philadelphia just adds fuel to the notion that Henry has unreasonable expectations of his CBO and is too mercurial to work for.
  9. If you can get the Athletic Steve Buckley has a solid piece on the subject.
  10. Such foul language from an obvious pendejo. Your mother must be so proud!
  11. Once again your poor reading comprehension skills are showing. I think it is pretty clear that Cora is not going anywhere.
  12. Of course I know what fired with cause means. I was just making a pun.
  13. Yes Bloom was fired "cause" Henry found out he was not that smart after all.
  14. And you know that how?
  15. Yes I have actually met a lot of Yalies. Several worked for me. I had to fire one for cause.
  16. Once again you demonstrate your poor reading comprehension skills. What I actually wrote was that Craig Breslow was once called the smartest man in baseball. I never said that I believed it. An assumption on your part. I have noticed over the years you are very good at making false assumptions and drawing erroneous conclusions from them. If you must know it was La Velle E Neal a beat writer for the Minneapolis Star Tribune who called him that in 2013. I suggest you take it up with him.
  17. I have met a lot of stupid people who graduated from Yale. Btw you didn't happen to graduate from there?
  18. I do not think you can assume Bloom was smarter than Dombrowski just because Bloom graduated from Yale and Dombrowski did not. One the reasons that Dombrowski is better at his job than Bloom is that Dombrowski could make a decision whereas Bloom dithered. Blooms educational background was in classical literature. I do not think classicists are taught how to make good decisions under pressure. Although the founding President and Grand Poo Bah of the Legion of Bloom, Moon may disagree.
  19. Breslow was once called the smartest player in the majors. I believe his degree from Yale is in molecular biology.
  20. If one stops and thinks about it Bloom wasn't the only boss he back stabbed throughout his career. I think you are vastly over estimating how well Cora is thought of around baseball.
  21. That is the long version of saying they do not want to work with Cora.
  22. Blind squirrel acorn. Cora is still a slug.
  23. Cora proved he is not only a cheater but a backstabbing sob as well. No wonder few competent highly qualified baseball executive outside of the the organization have agreed to an interview. Between the Red Sox byzantine front office bureaucracy, a mercurial owner and a manager protected by ownership who will undercut you at the slightest opportunity, no self respecting exec would want to work for this fubar organization.
  24. There is a big difference between the new guy deciding to keep the manager and being hired with the condition that he must keep the manager.
