  1. While I totally agree, there is enough blame to go around for everyone. Henry fired Dombrowski because DD was too much the lone wolf. Henry wanted a process guy so he hired Bloom. Well the process did not work. More than Bloom and a couple of coaches need to be fired. The new HOBO needs to be given a free hand to fire anyone including Cora. Otherwise they are just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
  2. You would think so but there appears to be few takers for the salary being actually offered. I also surmise that many candidates would be weary of backstabbing from FO holdovers who were passed over. Bloom for all his faults was the victim of negative leaks from unnamed FO sources. He also complained about St Alex undercutting him. I think the Red Sox FO has become a snake pit of competing factions. It may take more money and more authority than Henry is willing to give to get a really good external candidate.
  3. I said much the same elsewhere. The number of holdovers makes recruiting an external candidate problematic.
  4. Hey the longer the holdover the better. Henry does not want change. He wants to convince fans that he is, without any extra effort on his part. BTW how much are ticket prices going up next year?
  5. I guess we are all entitled to believe in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy.
  6. Another gullible soul swallowing Henry's bait. At least a half dozen outlets including SI , CBS Sports and Sean McAdam are reporting this. But hey none of these guys know anything. But I will put my trust in Sam Kennedy et al. They have never tried to bull s*** Red Sox fans before!
  7. Henry is reaping what he has sown. Henry really doesn't care whether the Sox win. He only cares about giving the appearance that he trying to win
  8. Just what Boston needs a holdover from the Bloom regime. So much for Sam Kennedy's statement to interview numerous candidates
  9. Several media outlets say the Red Sox are struggling to find candidates willing to interview for the Bloom job. Among the reasons cited is the fact that Henry has had 4 individuals in that job since 2011 Another is the number of holdovers in the front office and Cora being guaranteed another year.
  10. A great humanitarian he was the best of men. A real role model. I understand his wife is suffering from cancer as well. This is the saddest of stories.⁸
  11. There are legitimate techniques within the game to :steal" signs which are within the rules. Just like stealing a base is legitimate. What Cora did was determined tby the Commissioner of Baseball o be illegitimate and cheating. The Commissioner let Cora and the others go with a proverbial slap on the wrist. An earlier Commissioner such Judge Landis would not be so lenient. To punish the guilty is not hatred it is called justice.
  12. You have the worst reading comprehension skills. Icora cheated. Period. As a result he forfeited any trust. I never back peddle.
  13. Cora cheated Whether group or individual effort is meaningless. He cheated. That is fact. He should have been banned for life.
  14. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Cora no longer qualifies for the presumption he is not cheating. I do not believe a word that comes out of his mouth. He has proven he is not to be trusted. You can believe him and defend him until the cows come home but he never should have been rehired. The Sox will never be successful again as long as he is in the dugout. That is my position
  15. Once a cheater always a cheater. Everything they do is now suspect.
  16. I predicted that in April. A real manager would have done better. Cora proved he only wins by cheating.
  17. A managers job is too add value to their team. Cora's team was less than the sum of its parts. That's on Cora. To say it is impossible to train a 20 something good defense in few short months has never been through basic training. It is done all the time. Hooah!!!!
  18. Nope You.may disagree but Cora is responsible for the worst defensive team in baseball. A team that made more mental misplays than any I have seen in the past 50 plus years of watching baseball. Bloom may have some responsibility but Cora as manager must take ownership for his role. I said back in April that this team would be bad defensively. Just like in 2019, Cora did not prepare his team properly for the season. It was obvious to anyone who attended Spring Training what the season was going to be like.
  19. Amen to that Besides the cheating Cora is not a very good manager. I was at Spring Training in 2019 It was obvious then he never properly had his team ready for the season. Jump ahead to this past year It was obvious coming out of ST that he had a s***** defense up the middle but he kept playing sub par defensive players like Kike The excuse was it was all Bloom's fault is laughable. Cora did not have his team drilled in fundamentals It was 2019 all over again. Then there his mismanagement of the pitching staff. It was obvious in May that they way he used the bull pen he was going to burn out his relievers which he has. The Bloom defense for Cora's incompetence only goes so far. One World Series win buys a lot of excuses buy that two years should demonstrate that Cora is way over rated as manager especially here. .j
  20. Why are you the one who always bring up the "h" word ? Relationship.issues?
  21. I suggest you start an eschatology thread. We can continue the discussion there.
  22. I hate no one. That is your baliwick
  23. I doubt it.
  24. Right He did such a great job in 2019. He is a cheater and should not be managing any team.
  25. Right, that was Blooms original sin, rehiring a cheater.
