    No disrespect to the OP, but the whole notion of this artificial "Red Sox Nation" is ridiculous and it's kind of sleazy that the brass tries to commodify the emotional attachment Red Sox fans have for their club. Shouldn't being a Red Sox fan be enough? Or does an "exclusive group" have to be created? Red Sox fans have been played for total dopes for years by this ownership group. You should see how quickly they buckle to fan demands at Liverpool. The owners look at us and laugh, knowing very well how we'll just eat whatever they spoon out to us.

    Whats painful is that they signed Sandoval based on his playoff hype. Clearly a clutch playoff performer. But he's a 15 HR .270 guy with a weight problem. Total waste of money. They should've let Hanley play short and move Xander to 3rd and gone after a better defensive LF. Total calamity the way this team was assembled.

    When they signed Sandoval and didn't sign or trade for a frontline starting pitcher, I knew the season was going to be a long painful one. Why did they let Toronto get Donaldson? We should've been all over that. Now watch us trade away our future for Cole Hamels and still miss the playoffs.
