    Do you think his terrible season was a fluke, or is this what we should expect from him year in, year out? I personally think he could have a nice comeback season with a fresh start for the whole ball club. What are acceptable numbers next year for you? I'd be happy with .280/20HR/30SB

    Yeah, it's a good series, for the most part. This one blew me away. I remember the story of the player, and of course Pablo, but never the link, and never the finer details. And the way the pull it off in the film is awesome. P.S. Don't watch the Martina Navritalova-Chris Evert one :thumbdown

    We all remember Youk giving Ellsbury grief last year for what he perceived as a lack of toughness in dealing with his injuries.... Accounts coming out now say Ellsbury keeps to himself...clearly Youk is more "One of the boys".... Have we reached a point where, in order to hold on to Ellsbury, we ship Youk outta here? Or am I making too much of a soap opera out of this?

    IS he another Theo? CAN he replicate the positive things Theo was able to accomplish? We don't know that. What we DO know is that he's a holdover from a management regime that crashed and burned, and if people are in relative agreement that it's best that Theo move on, then it would seem safe to say that Cherington should as well, or at best maintain his current position. I just think the club needs a GM from outside the organization. But that isn't going to happen. Larry has his Yes Man in Cherington, and that's that.

    I changed my mind. I said keep him in the 'pen, but his comment about fans deserving to see him get his 200th win was just a MAJOR disappointment, coming from who I thought was a total team guy, and someone who understood the fans. Sorry Tim, but your 200th means sh*t when the team is collapsing all around you. See ya Tim, and take Tek, Beckett, Papi, and Youk with you.

    What rankles me is there's been nary a peep from Henry. WTF? And zero accountability from any of the other brass. For such P.R. wizards, they're really dropping a huge turd with this calamity.

    Can't say I'd be too thrilled with him getting bumped up. He'd be Lucchino's Ball Boy, and just a holdover from a failed system.... Lucchino was ready to push Theo overboard back in 2005, but public sentiment jammed up his plans. Now he can exert total control...there is no way the GM and manager are going to have much of a say in anything. Lucchino finally has the power he's wanted.

    His trade value is still pretty high. If he's the ringleader of the circus, then for the sake of every younger pitcher, he should be traded. How about Beckett and Ellsbury to Tampa for Price, Moore, and Jennings?
