  1. Holt has always been such a smart player. Jumps on Barnes early. Doesn't let him get into a groove....BANG....runs
  2. Well that was ugly
  3. Yup....good move Alex
  4. Vino been struggling since he came in. Just don't grove one this late PLEASE
  5. Getting 4 early helped that. Outside of that...not so much.
  6. Come on Sox. Can we get some breathing room over these guys for once.
  7. Can't blame anybody that gets tossed from this game. HP ump has been horrific.....nightmarish.
  8. Nice play Rafi
  9. Rangers LH hitters appear spooked by the HP ump's propensity to call strikes outside. Swinging at anything out there now.
  10. If Kluber threw all day the way he threw in that clip NESN just ran I doubt anybody would have hit him today....Tigers or anybody else.
  11. When Richards goes back door breaking ball to LH hitters that thing is breaking so much that it still looks like it is going to make it back to the plate even starting it way outside. Well not that strike 3. That was a FB and way outside...missed by the HP ump.
  12. Well we might have corroborating information on this year's baseball. Cora says pitches are doing things he did not see when he played and if they are flying a few feet shorter then maybe what they did is raise the seams again. Pitchers would have gotten used to throwing balls with almost no seams and still getting them to move for them. Give them baseballs with pre-2017 or maybe even pre-2016 seams and it makes sense they would be having a field day. I have seen some old timey curve balls so far this year......just 12 to 666666666. Sliders moving all over the place. Even the Sinker is making a comeback.
  13. Maybe he needs his eyes checked or lighter bat or.....hell I don't know. This is why he reminds me of JBJ at the plate. There is so much going wrong in that swing that its hard to figure out where to start.
  14. Hopefully Dalbac will learn not to dance laterally like that. He got stuck in no mans land. He was not going to get back toward 1st base enough to make a play on a ball hit in that direction and he was not going to get to a ball to his right either......and.....he didn't.
  15. He swings it like JBJ does. I am not sure it makes sense to wait that long.
  16. Some of the pitches Rafi gets to are just mind boggling.
  17. After watching JBJ play CF all these years, it's almost funny watching CFers turning this way and that. JBJ NEVER would have turned toward RF on that. He would have instinctively known that Verdugo's shot would be slicing toward LCer, would have gotten on his horse and run straight to the play.
  18. Terrific turnaround performance for Richards. Very encouraged by that.
  19. Home plate ump appears to be trying to beat the rain
  20. I wonder what the numbers are for HBP across MLB so far this year. Seems like a lotta' guys are getting tagged by pitches.
  21. Can't say I blame Seattle for this early move. Pitcher seemed severely rattled.
  22. That is the Vaz we like as opposed to "roll over Vaz".
  23. Best guy for us to have at the plate right now. Bases juiced, nobody out.
  24. I think we are still only carrying 12 everyday players and 14 pitchers. That is a holy s***.
