  1. Joba should have played for the NY Rangers. Would have liked to laugh at that fat turd on skates.
  2. I am constantly stunned by the number of 0-0 pitches hitters swing at from pitchers struggling with their control. Richards should be done for the night. Pitched well tonight.
  3. Look at him. Richards is starting to boil out there on the mound.
  4. That was simply the way the game was played then. Safest place was in the OF. Infield, on the bases, at the plate....lots of sharks in the water that could bite at any moment. You only had the fans to worry about in the OF.
  5. Then aim to make him move his feet. That was directly at the hitters head. Sorry...that was not thrown to miss and Richards is just screwball enough to lose it enough to do that. He is a bit of a cracked dome IMO.
  6. Then drill him in the ribs. That leaves a mark that does not leave for a couple days at least.
  7. Pedro had the control to do that. He could put it a few inches from you and miss you. Richards...not so much and I am not convinced Richards was not throwing directly at his head. Richards can go short circuit between the ears on occasion.
  8. Actually its more of a short circuited brain streak...like when he was throwing over to 1st base a few games ago at 100 mph. That was not just around his head. That was straight at his head.
  9. More than I would like to remember.
  10. Richards turnaround makes a huge difference in the rotation. As long as he can keep it up our rotation is at least respectable if not better. The hitters at the top of the order are fine. The bottom, not so much for an AL team. I don't see how they can keep Francy going out there. His fielding is fine but he is the LFer. Not exactly the premier spot for an Ofer on this team or in this park and his hitting is laughable. JBJ revisited if not worse. The BP......can be Cora rolling bones in the dugout to set up innings 6 through 8 and bridge to Barnes. On a side note as much as I like RemDog, this threesome in the NESN booth is darned good IMO.
  11. Well I guess we can suppose the Sox saved it all for Manaea.
  12. Well my concern expressed early is that with this team's pitching, the hitters have to show up every night. Last night Bassitt was something else....unhittable. Tonight's A's starter was not Bassitt. not even the shadow of Bassitt and.......still nothing.
  13. Talk about being COVID out of touch......AND so old that my memory banks are failing. As much as I had been to those two Pizza Parlors in New Haven in my lifetime, it has been awhile. So long that I wanted to check their addresses if anybody asked. So I just did a quick search and.....son of a bitch, there is now a Pepe's in Burlington Ma.
  14. Wow...what a throw.....HOLY s***.
  15. From which place...Pepe's or Sally's
  16. So I rewound back to the stat. According to Alex the A's rotation has the lowest walk rate in baseball for a rotation. Bassett was still in the game at the time.
  17. So is Alex wrong or did I read it wrong?
  18. This is a really good baseball game. That said, I am probably an anomaly for today's baseball fan.
  19. Big HR from Rafi. Would not want to go to the last 6 outs down 2 runs to this A's team.
  20. That Alex stat they just posted up on the TV screen tells a story. A's lowest walk rate in baseball. We are a nightly walk-a-thon.
  21. The NESN crowd is very complimentary of our pitching. But its only "good enough" when the bats show up. We gotta' score 5 at least every night to win games seems like. Heck it will probably take 5 at least tonight.
  22. A dying quail to RF
  23. I sure hope Oakland has a flock of RH hitters lined up for Vino. If not......YIKES.
  24. Actually that was me on the higher seams a few games ago. But somebody else might have mentioned it as well. Seems pretty obvious to me. We need one of those TV time hogging David Price reports on this year's baseball. I am sure he would be happy to do it.
  25. The breaking stuff pitchers are throwing this year is just amazing to me. Everybody seems to have really good breaking stuff and the guys who are usually the guys you are used to seeing throw good breaking stuff are throwing INSANE breaking stuff this year.
