  1. If I were Eddie today, I would just show the FB. Don't throw it for a strike. The way he is throwing it that thing is meat.
  2. That is a flat FB. Past high school everybody hits those.
  3. What the hell is Eddie throwing out there. Christ just about anybody in a ML uni can throw this trash.
  4. Beyond cheap, Houston Crawford Box HR from Altuve. A shame really. The pitching HAS gotten better overall. But Erod seems to be up and down lately.
  5. This to me was a really good Sox game. They got behind early. Eventually caught up to Smyly and passed the Braves. Had to overcome a rain delay. Sox played a clean game unlike a few of the error filled fiascos and came out with a win. Bats played big for the Sox tonight and I remain convinced that the bats will have to play big in most games for this team to win. Bridge to Barnes still looks like it could use some Biden Infrastructure bucks...pretty dilapidated. Overall not that impressed with the pitching so far. Pitching has to improve IMO. Richards has been a pleasant surprise once he got on track. That Richards has been as noticeable as a contributor to the staff ain't very encouraging though. I am not convinced you can depend on this much firepower from the batters box throughout the course of a season and its looking more and more like they are going to have to.
  6. An interesting game...no doubt. Exciting???....In a way. Best game of three years??? We have had better games this year. Hard to call a game that has us booting the ball around the lot for 3 errors while first guy out of the pen flat s*** the bed, Best game of the year.
  7. Montoyo deserved to have that go through the infield and topple the Jays entirely in this game and probably send Dolis off for mental therapy.
  8. Why is Dolis still out there for the Jays? He just looks like he has already dug his grave out there on the hill.
  9. Sox will live or die with their hitting this year. That is sort of scary for those of us that remember how Sox teams that live or die with their hitting usually fair.
  10. Don't like a hitter that anxious to draw a walk.
  11. The bridge to Barnes is a work in progress at best. Really exposed when they have to go 6-7-8
  12. Well you make 3 errors in a game and you don't deserve to win anything. They have to outscore the bullpen's ability to give it up.
  13. There is not enough season played yet to really have a solid number but the over/under in runs scored per game and wins associated seems like it will come out to 5 for the Sox. More than 5 runs, they will win (as will most teams I think), 5 runs or less and they are likely to lose maybe even more than other teams lose.
  14. The Sox are into some better opposition at this point. Game 1 of this series they got buried by a great pitching performance. Game 2 looked like the last couple weeks have looked. All is right with the world. Tonight they look like they did the first week of the season and that won't fly against better teams unless the hitters are hitting. They cannot field like crap either. It is just too much of a buzz kill for them...never mind us.
  15. So much for them putting their defensive woes behind them. Good grief.....GO SOX BATS.
  16. Well it might be windy in Buffalo but they are in Dunedin, Fl.
  17. Well I have not felt there was much for me to contribute the last few nights of baseball. It has gotten a bit monotonous. The hitters are hitting. The starters are pitching. The Sox got past those early defensive woes. The bridge to Barnes still looks like it could use some of those Biden Infrastructure $$. But it has not been as much of a problem with the hitters hitting and the starters pitching. Next few series will tell us a good deal. If they keep piling up wins this way through these next series, they are going to be lookin' pretty good I think.
  18. Well now I am back to where I was a couple hours ago. It is so f***ing hard to sweep. Still got a shot at it. Isn't it time for the Halos to boot something?
  19. A run in the bottom of the 8th would be a wonderful thing.
  20. Good move by Cora. When Vino is having trouble getting RHer's out, he is not on. I would rather chance Barnes for 4 outs than Vino for one more with runners on.
  21. The genius moniker has not worn well on Maddon over time.
  22. Well they have not lost just yet. But its difficult to sweep even against somebody like the struggling Halos when we are at the end of a home stand. Not sure this team does well with X on the bench. But they have to preserve him through the year. This is a game I would have picked to rest him also. He gets today and tomorrow off. Hard for Alex to resist that when he has already won the series. That is what I get for showing up late for the start. X is DH today? Is that what broadcast crew is saying?
  23. Way to respond Sox. Boy this is setting up like a typical getaway day. Bags packed. Already won the series.
  24. Othani caught out be Fenway
  25. Look Fenway Group, I am too old for you to be throwing the Memorial Day caps at me two weeks early. Ya' got me all discombobulated over here. Easy enough for me to forget what day it is under normal circumstances.
