So many parts of the Sox game were off tonight. Never got on track against Sanchez on the offensive end and Ross and Lester kept going back to that curve. Every time he threw it was bad news. He was catching too much of the plate and hung it most of the time. He was getting away with it but guys were lining out and just hitting the ball foul until ******* Peralta. But he really never threw it good once the whole night. A great pitching effort by Jon really fouled by going back to one pitch that he just could not throw tonight.
A great game but we played much like we did against the Rays. As many of us have said, that won't get it done against the Tigers. Can't expect these games to end up monster ass whippings one way or the other. You win or you lose on a very thin margin for error....thats it.
The Tigers did play a near perfect game tonight though and I don't expect them to pull that off throughout the series. We are still a better team to be playing tight, grind it out games like this. Come back tomorrow and get it done.
