I don't know....we have seen this in the regular season as well. Farrell just does not believe in sending the Pitching Coach out there to help a guy settle down...he does not do it with rooks, never mind vets. It is just what he believes but I really think he is wrong on that one. Seen time and time again where helping the pitcher just get his feet under him when he is walking on air settles him out and he can at least give you what he has at that point. Might have saved Peavey who did not need a rocket ship to be circling the moon at that point in the game.
All managers have their own set of ideas about what is what and the Custom's House will topple onto Faneuil Hall before one of them changes a thing.
