  1. Beckett should wear a disguise when he pitches so our offense knows it's OK to score runs.
  2. I was waiting for the chicken part.
  3. Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuddy...
  4. Everyone's hitting stats from Ellsbury to Andrew Miller is included.
  5. So nice to have Crawford back patrolling left field.
  6. Crawford! This is more like it.
  7. Ortiz saw that! He's a hit or two away.
  8. I'm also keeping an eye on the Angels who have a 2 run lead. If they win, they'll be 4.5 games back in the Wild Card.
  9. Muddy Chicken's finally up to .300. He was hitting .239 going into play on June 5th.
  10. I love the Steinbrenners!
  11. My guess is that we'd be interested in their surplus of starters (Jackson, Floyd, Peavy) or their surplus of lefty relievers (Sale, Thornton, Ohman).
  12. The Yankees lose! With the Red Sox and Angels having favorable pitching match ups against some of the worst teams in the AL, there's a decent chance the Red Sox division lead will go up to 3 and the Yankees wild card lead will go down to 4.5. It'll be interesting to see where the Yankees are in a month when A-Rod returns.
  13. Check out this visuals on Adrian the Invincible. He "struggles" the most on pitches middle in, which he "only" hits .273 against. He's hitting .583 on pitches up and in and .400 on pitches down and away. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/player/adrian-gonzalez/hotzone/139851 His hit chart is equally impressive. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/player/adrian-gonzalez/hitchart/139851
  14. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/player/josh-reddick/hotzone/765833
  15. Crawford's hit .313/.353/.375 since coming off the DL. Time for him to start hitting for power.
  16. That would rock!
  17. He's not. He's our best option as a 4th outfielder and if we were to acquire another outfielder, McDonald would be the one to go.
  18. Developmentally, Reddick is leaps and bounds ahead of where Murphy was at this age. Reddick was in AA at age 22 and got a cup of coffee in the majors, Murphy was in A at age 23. Reddick was generally a year or two younger than Murphy at the same level and his OPS in the minors was still over .100 points higher than Murphy. I think Reddick will hit for power because he has at every level of his development. I'd be surprised if he's not able to be a 20+ HR, .500 SLG guy. He also more of a contact hitter that people give him credit for, he was rushed through the minors and still hit .278. The wild card will be his patience. He walking at a rate this year that's almost twice as much as his previous walk totals. If he can keep that up, .280/.360/.550 is well within reach. If he goes back to being overaggressive, he's probably more like a .275/.350/.500 hitter.
  19. I thought Lackey had great stuff last night and would have had good results against any lineup. He also mixed in all of his pitches rather nicely throwing 16 4-seam fastballs, 11 changeups, 32 sliders, 16 curveballs, 25 cutters and 1 2-seamer. That's drastically different than his typical pitch selection which usually involves over 50% 4-seamers and less than 1% cutters.
  20. Any thoughts on Warren? He looks like a fly ball pitcher who relies heavily on his control.
