  1. RBI double by Josh Willingham and the Yankees take the lead 3-2.
  2. We need to score more runs! Wakefield won't look this good every inning.
  3. I wonder if Wakefield did that on purpose, thinking the batter will swing at any knuckleballs that are up high or if he missed his location badly twice in a row.
  4. I don't know, I have the TV package.
  5. When all is said and done, Francona will be the Red Sox leader in managerial wins.
  6. Awesome! BTW, the Yankees were just award catcher's interference on a ghost call that Jeter sold to the umpire, erasing a double play. And with the 2 free baserunners and 5 outs to work with, the Yankees flew out and quickly grounded into a double play.
  7. And the Yankees blow it! They were given 2 free baserunners and 5 outs to work with in that inning and they couldn't get a run across.
  8. Yes he has. I did not expect us to hit this well against this guy at all.
  9. What a huge blown call in the Yankees favor. That wasn't even close and it turns a strikeout throw em out into 2 on no one out.
  10. That didn't take long. I don't think Youkilis likes someone else leading the team in RBI. He's 9 behind Gonzalez now.
  11. You're right, losing your most valuable player for a month and a half won't have any affect on the standings whatsoever.
  12. Adrian the Invincible! #81
  13. Smart not to test Gut's arm, especially with no outs.
  14. We should have Aceves come in after Wakefield's faced a batter. Then we'd get the 2 ERA reliever Aceves instead of the 5+ ERA starter Aceves.
  15. Great throw by Reddick. Again, I love our outfield defense.
  16. Carlos Beltran would have struck him out.
  17. Ellsbury! I love our outfield defense this year.
  18. He should have gotten out of the inning without a run but Martin let a throw to the plate go right by him. On the flip side though, Colon was hit hard. BTW, Colon hasn't won a game after the All-Star break since 2005.
  19. Last time Bartolo Colon recorded a win this last in the season - 2005.
  20. I didn't base the thread on who I thought should win, I based the thread on who will likely win and the Cy Young Award voters are not going to give the award to a pitcher based on WAR. Besides, according to Baseball-Reference Beckett has a 4.9 WAR to Sabathia's 4.5
