    I didn't think we were a playoff team at the start of the year and didn't think we had a shot to get there, even if everything went according to plan. I still think we're going to miss the playoffs, but then each day goes by and we're still battling for the best record in the AL. Even after our so called cold stretches, we emerge in pretty decent shape. I hope we can hang around long enough, but if not, so be it. There are better things to do in life than getting emotionally caught up in what a professional baseball team is doing on a daily basis for the better part of 6 months.

    During the 9 game win streak, many here were calling for Richards' head. Pivetta was walking every 3rd man and Perez looked flat.

    I'll be less than a mile from Fenway for a good chunk of this game. Absolutely gorgeous day to bring your portable radio to the park and listen to a baseball game. I'll also be going for a run. Not just going to take the T into the city for the sake of listening to a ballgame.

    Last night was fun! I was busy adulting and didn't get home from work until 9, at which point I saw it was 5-1 and didn't bother turning on the radio. Let's do it again today! Won't make that mistake again

    Fun night. Fenway has life again, much more than it had in April. Not so fun result but losses don't seem to bother me anymore. My life is still pretty great. I don't mind.

    I'm assuming the big concourse is the one out in RF? There's a little courtyard out there. I usually go to the self-service station behind home plate, which must be the home plate concourse

    I know. I can't eat most ballpark food anymore. When I went in April, only a limited number of concessions were open, and literally the only thing I could eat was pizza, which obviously still isn't vegan. I'll eat cheese when I have to, but not meat.

    And I just had Chipotle for lunch so now I'm thinking it might be better to make myself a quick something at my apartment if I don't want to spend the 7th inning stretch in the latrines

    They might be. On Monday, the vendors that walk around in those yellow shirts were back for the first time. I don't remember seeing those guys outside on the street when I was there in April
