  1. And the next night they had a 9-1 lead going into the 8th inning and lost :harhar:
  2. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Millar is hammered out of his mind!
  3. http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb162/pknight212/bobby.jpg Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's Bobby!
  4. I don't have an issue with Papi getting suspended, I have an issue with the two getting the same suspension. And Papi didn't rush the mound. In both instances Gregg left the mound and was coming toward him.
  5. I don't see how it makes sense that Papi and Gregg get the same amount, especially with Gregg being a pitcher and the clear instigator. You throw at somebody three times, bark at them after the play, and then run your mouth off to the media after the game; it doesn't get much more blatant than that. He got off super easy. Papi got about what I expected and I wouldn't be surprised to see it reduced to 2-3 on appeal. Have we figured out yet what the hell Salty/Johnson did?
  6. This reminds me of our bouts with the (Devil) Rays in the early 2000s; cellar dweller team, knows they're inferior, so they resort to cheap shots and bush league stuff. That entire sequence of events was stupid. I can see being pissed off and wanting to take out a little frustration, especially given some of Papi's showman antics when he hits a home run, but do it right and nail him in the leg on the first pitch. When you throw three straight balls right at somebody, you're going to piss them off. At that point, both guys probably should have been ejected for leaving their spots and coming toward each other. Then the second melee never happens. And regardless of whether Papi was in the wrong for swinging 3-0 or trotting to first, Gregg should have kept his damn mouth shut after that. He was the clear instigator of the whole thing. His dumb-ass comments after the game didn't help matters much either and all but guaranteed that this isn't over. It was at least nice to see guys like Lackey fired up and right in the middle of things. Hopefully he can translate that into shutting the Os down today. I wouldn't be surprised if another pitch or two 'got away' from somebody this weekend.
  7. A no-hitter for the Clay on 2k11
  8. Just work the damn count and get Masterson outta there so we can pound on Wild Thing Vaughn. http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTfMtVRWsexXuO3UfC3roTtwuZkATgIM7wBiM4lk-wh__4kYukbOw&t=1
  9. It's a rookie lefty. Hold me.

  11. Sure, why not?... :papelbon:
  12. Ah the ever confident Remy and Orsillo!
  13. I'm telling you, 2k11 never lies. I was playing a game where Dice K was perfect through 5, then everything froze and now the game wont work. And a day later he was DL'd. The nice thing about our depth (or depressing thing about the suck in the back of our rotation) is that we were able to fill in for these guys without breaking a sweat. I don't see Wake and Aceves being a significant downgrade, and may even be an upgrade from the output we've been getting. Now if this had happened to Beckett & Lester rather than Lack & Dice on the other hand....
  14. As good a night as any for a reverse lock. Make it so! http://theforgottenreviews.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/hat-picard.jpg
  15. I would think it far more acceptable to like the Red Sox and hate Glee than the other way around.
  16. We now have the same record that we had last season at this point, so our suck is no longer unprecedented. 10 games from now, we could be saying "what slump?". Make it happen. Only in this messed up season would I be more concerned about playing the Os at home than playing the Yankees on the road.
  17. Players have taken leave for various personal reasons, though I'm not sure what the protocol is. Lackey would be one of the last people to admit to needing such a thing anyway.
  18. After seeing how easily he looks in flicking the ball over the monster, I'd say it's a definite possibility. When this guy is red hot, he's going to be fun to watch.
  19. 5/11 The Good- Adrian f***ing Gonzalez (I should save this as a template). Papi has also been looking good and Crawfish has finally heated up, thank Jesus. The Bad- everyone else. The Ugly- Sir Chins-alot and Francona with the slow hook. I understand he's probably trying to spare the pen, given the recent short starts and extra inning affairs, but he just let Chin-man dig a much deeper hole than necessary. I think the off-day will benefit everyone.
  20. There have been a lot of baserunners and not very many outs in this particular inning.
  21. Zaun is a smart guy. I love hearing the perspective of recent former players like that.
  22. Few things draw my baseball ire more than guys who sucked for us and were lights-out after that. Win tonight and beat the stuffing out of Colon this weekend.
