You usually cherry pick and split numbers in order to justify the unjustifiable. Sorry, it's the way you are. Is still the pitching there? IDK. He has shown a decline, that is a fact. If you do not want to see that, is up to you. You split his numbers in order to prove that his pitching still there, hopefully still there... In the end...It's your opinion but nobody knows. Sorry but If he keeps posting high ERAs (hopefully no, if he stays), your splits will not have sense. He will suck, plain and simple. I'm not concerned about Lester's future, If he stays fine, If he walks fine... I'm concern because our FO office has not done nothing in order to fix this team. Almost forget, we have to be patience, like last off-season.

Let's face it, he has shown a decline. It's funny how people split his numbers. Cherry Pickers. He was a 4.82 ERA pitcher last year, period. You do not have to be Einstein in order to know that he has had attitude/head problems since 2011, and unless they work with his mind, IMO he's cycled in Boston and needs to walk and find fresh air for his own good. If they want to keep him, fine... But do not fool ourselves pretending that he is a #1 or # 2 these days. He is a # 3 at best until he shows the opposite. We need arms. Quality arms. Cherington/FO need to focus on that.

Sorry but IMO Lester is done in Boston. He could bounce back with another team, say KC, but not in Boston uniform. At this point his value is not that much... So if somehow you can sell him high, do it.

You base your opinions on what we all saw last season. We were a blank check since our pitching was horrible. Saying that we need 2 pitchers is not rocket science. At this point we have a bunch of #3-5 pitchers at best. We just can not go like this.

Been always his problem. He thinks that all we say are facts. He does not understand, it is all about opinions. Certainly, some are facts but mostly are OPINIONS. BTW I wrote IMO. Hahahaha. Sure! We see things eye to eye most of the times but we disagree at times; thing is that we do not need to insult or make the othe change a point of view or opinion. It's called prudence. ...again and as I said, hard to disagree with someone (you) you think (I) is right. Plain and Simple.

Totally agree. You need 2. Problem is that some already signed/traded and the few available will cost you tons since the pitching market has been reduced... This is why IMO you have to move fast and smart as GM specially when you have key and a lot of holes to fill. We'll see how it ends though, hopefully our FO has everything figured out.

Geez... I remember that discussion... took like a week or something and some midnights Nevertheless I liked Nats last season. Next season they will be a very exciting team IMO, mostly with a healthy Strasburg.

Like this. I only would add another SP. Palodios put Jeremy Guthrie and Shaun Marcum on the table. Sanchez and Greinke are other options, but all depends on what they want. Still options out there. I truly believe that a team like this could contend for at least a WC. Hopefully our FO put something like this.

I haven't posted as I used to. Today I had a day off so I decided stay home watch TV and say hello to talksox community. Since nothing happens I thing the speculation grow and grow, just like last offseason, remember?. I just point what I think is good or wrong with the team. Nothing personal against any poster. Exactly... when a real manager/director/CEO/leader arrives to an organization shows precisely that... leadership, and do not let other/s do what is supposed to be his job...MANAGE/RUN!... you said that last year he was a puppet, fine!... As I said, I have no idea who was/is running this team SCM33, but that is not the point. The point is that our FO has to be capable to put at least a legit WC contender team this year, regardless there are 2 WCs. I'm agree with you, lets wait.

Sorry SCM33 I used to agree with you as well. I think that he is putting things in a very good perspective. We have to be capable to put a legit contender WC team at least SCM. Look that I'm not saying WS contender team. Just put a team that can run for at least the 2nd WC and that could be exciting to watch... is that too much to ask for a team like the Boston Red Sox?, Really? Sure...Lets wait and see what our FO can do.
