    Some say that 14 SV, 4 BS with a 78 %SV after 3 yrs makes him a successful closer. Furthermore, I'm not sure if these numbers can label you as closer. Anyways, He is our only option at this point, now that the other two busts are on DL. He has showed good things, but still he would be another experiment as closer. Hopefully he becomes the closer we have been looking for.

    I like Uehara, and at this point he seems to be the best option. Nevertheless he is not a closer. He would be another experiment. We have hired and made some experiments at closer spot and neither have worked. That's a fact.

    While I agree that velocity is very important, I prefer a 91-92 pitcher with great command, control and at least 3 different well controlled type of pitches than a 95+ MPH pitcher that cant even locate and/or lacks another type of pitches. Problem with Doubront is that he is not neither of those types at this point.

    The problem with Doubront is that he tends to walk a lot of people and lose control of everything under pressure a la D-K to the point to give up a game. I need to see a couple of more starts and then make a call, though.
