While Drew would be a good addition, I want to see WM and XB playing everyday for once and for all. Also, while I want to be in POs again, I am more interested in watch what JBJ, XB, WM and probably Vasquez if called can bring to the table. If our former players perform close as expected, the future is set.

Some here and there still believe that they are not a legit division contenders, hopefully they are right. IMO they are way far better than last year, even with Cano gone. Beltran, McCann, Ells, Tex, etc. combined easily can cover his ass. As you said, their key is CC. This is going to be very fun to watch.

Everybody is talking about Ellsbury and Tanaka who are obviously key pieces. IMO The real deal for them is MCaan. This guy not only going contribute offensively but will give them a lot "intangible" value behind the plate.

IMO he is supposed to be an immediate stopper. He is not a prospect, he is supposed to be a solution, right now. I understand that NYY have money but you are paying him 20 +/year for God's sake; you are paying him to perform right now, mostly considering the fiasco of last year. If this kid starts slow in his first year, a lot of question marks and pressure are going to be on him for the years coming.

As I said, If this kid is for real, CC bounces back and most of their roster stay healthy, the NYY will be a legit contender on paper. It's going to be very competitive the ALE.

Philly paid Papelbon since his track record. Since he showed durability and consistency. Very few CLOSERS (no any relievers) has those concepts under their belts, and mostly closing in arguably one of the toughest divisions in baseball during long time. If you find me this profile in your relievers, yes! I will pay them that money for closing 9 of every 10 games since it would mean an automatic shut down game. Just for the record… Mo has a 89% SV% career number under his belt. Pap? 88% thus far.

if he posts his avg numbers the rest of his contract with philly, I will call it deal. He'll be ok IMO. Nobody is going to post what Mo's done. That is not what is behind of the Mo's highway concept, which I patented and some are misunderstanding LOL! Anyway, he is gone and some are still obsessed with him. U? is one of them.

LOL! he had a very good year in Philly, and another not that good but still posted a under 3 ERA. He is going bounce back and will post his usual numbers and will be on track in Mo's highway.
