  1. Kelly, Buch, Masterson. The other would be depth to me.
  2. To me, We have to sign Shields and trade for Hamels/Cueto to get it this done.
  3. I never, ever liked Porcello. He is going to be crucified in Fenway. Hopefully I eat my words.
  4. They are still two arms behind to me, not one.
  5. If XB is traded who else going to cover the SS? That was kind of my point.
  6. As it is, it is mediocre rotation. Hopefully they get a couple of good arms.
  7. But nobody buys it, not even him LOL!
  8. Would be an outstanding rotation and lineup. Yeah, they would be the favorites to me.
  9. What, what?
  10. Sounds like a pretty good depth to me but not a good rotation thus far.
  11. If they stay like this, it will be a terrible plan. We need at least 1 top tier pitcher.
  12. No please. Hanley could play SS and Holt as back up.
  13. Well, if we aren't giving up neither of them, not sure what the Phillies will want from us to trade Hamels.
  14. Everybody is talking about pitching which is ok, but I wonder who is going to back up Vazquez?, Ross?. I would like to see here a guy like Rosario, seems like he could be traded but I'm not sure.
  15. Well, if we want a #1 type, out there are only 2 FA, Shields and Scherzer. On the other hand if you want trade for a number one you will most likely give up a haul of prospects. We still need two arms to get this thing done. I'm not sure how they are going approach to address this. What do you prefer?
  16. XB? If we go after Hamels, be prepared to see one of them or more going to Philly.
  17. Neither of them is a #2 nor #1. We still need 2 arms.
  18. Wonder when are they going to address a #1 and #2 pitcher....
  19. Jajajajaja You are so funny my friend.
  20. Speaking for myself, this was terrible managed all around. On the other hand, this hasn't finished, but IMO teams like Reds, Phillies and FAs which the Red Sox are supposdly talking to have increased their power to negotiate. Now we most likely going to give up prospects like Betts and XB and/or overpay if we want to land two solid SPs... hopefully I eat my words.
  21. Just noticed on FB that Ben is sending "reflexive" messages to the red sox nation about Jon's departure LOL! He should shut the f*** up and get some pitching already.
  22. Not sure but in all places a lot of people of media are saying that the Red Sox just conduct the worst negotiation in the history of negotiations.
  23. This is not how sport teams work, this is how every enterprise works. When a monster/trascendental deal is in place, ownerships are who make the last call. This is on JH and Luchino all the way, for good or for bad. The Panda signing. The HR signing. The epic fail for Lester. The trade with LAD, etc. GM's role is to make the diligences and suggest, that's all. I only wonder whether BC told to the owners that the 70 M offer was a ridiculous approach at the time or not.
  24. I rather trade for Cueto than Hamels, but I honestly don't see Reds trading him unless it is for a haul of prospects around Cespedes or something.
  25. So basically what you are saying is that Ben's role is reduced to minor moves and makimg diligences than making big decisions/moves? @mvp
