  1. 2014 Capuanos FIP 3.67 SO/W 3.15 2014 Porcello FIP 3.91 SO/W 2.89 ....Still in the same basket.
  2. To me they are in the same basket, and if you rush me Capuano has been better thus far. Capuano career line K/9 7.5 B/9 2.8 ERA 4.2 ERA+96 FIP 4.22 Porcello career line K/9 5.5 B/9 2.2 ERA 4.3 ERA+98 FIP 4.03
  3. When I made the comment I didn't check out the stats, only based on what I remember but when you look at them and aside last season their numbers are kind of similar, in fact Capuano has a better career ERA AND after 10 years of service.
  4. Haha to me both are terrible pitchers, but that's me.
  5. I'd rather Nova over Capuano anyday. Somehow I have Capuano and Porcello in the same basket.
  6. The more I read the more I think we are going like this. Geez!
  7. If Cherries is not lying with his "We would feel really good if that's how we opened up", we are screwed up. Seriously, How can a 190+ team end up with a crappy rotation like this? How?. Wow.
  8. He better.
  9. Seems like Slim's hand is in effect. While Los Padres are trying to contend next season, Braves are all in rebuilding. Interesting how those divisions are looking like.
  10. Since 2009 he has averaged 180+ IP. Another anti Buch here. Sure, he could translate his 3.5+ ERA numbers just below 4.0 in the AL which is still decent for a No. 2 IMO.
  11. Gallardo is way better than the other pile we just added. Is he a true no.1? no, but he could be your solid No. 2. which we do not have.
  12. At ESPN Bosotn, they are projecting that the Red Sox will win the division with only 87 Ws. Bookers have also the Red Sox ahead 9/1. Seems like the division is the weakest version in the last 20 yrs or something.
  13. Since the emminent new relationships between CUBA-USA, a lot of more cuban players will go to U.S.. In Cuba baseball is a religion.
  14. Seems like he still needs to improve and make some adjustments in his bat. He is making more than Puig, isn't he? is he a 5 tool player like Puig?
  15. CWS continue loading the Ship. They just got Kottaras. Seems like the wind city finally will have good teams.
  16. Well if true, it will be Lackey for Gallardo and Kelly. Also, if they finish rounding the team with Shields.... I will be very happy. Shields and Gallardo?... sounds great.
  17. Yeah, not sure how much they left on the table.
  18. Hopefully it is via FA Fred. I do not want to give up prospects either.
  19. Don't remember the name, but last offseason Boras shitted the bed with this FA, refusing a deal and then this FA got less, I just can't remeber the name. Anyway, do u still see he getting more than 200 M?
  20. Btw MVP, my 200M take it or leave it offer to Scherzer seems these days like a massively overpaid offer and probably could have worked it out haha. I don't see Scherzer making more than 170 M.
  21. Regarding long contracts, I haven't heard anything about Shileds or Scherzer lately. Maybe some teams are making some negotiations under the radar or have lost a little bit of interest considering what they are asking. Hopefully Ben is in the hunt of one of them.
  22. 8 usd a beer? Geez! Seems like my trip to Boston will cost me more than I thought LOL! Well they better land an ace, and make my trip to Boston worth. Haha
  23. Seems like games between ALE teams going to be slug parties. I'd go overs all the way all season long LOL!
  24. Well if we end up with a 84 W record with the current rotation (still I do not see it), a No 1 should provide you at least 15 W more. Another No 1 or another solid No.2 as I've been suggesting? 10 more or something. They could make the difference, no doubt about that. Sure you still have to subtract some of the potential Ws of the other arms but it easily could end up at least at 90 Ws.
  25. Well, 2013 was kind of magical IMO. I do not want to take credit away from anybody but I think that some special things happened. Buch, pitched like an ace. Lackey came back like the phoenix from hell. Lester bounced back. Our set up/closer combo performed like out of this planet. Ortiz was simply ridiculous. I mean if the stars align again, yeah, we can win it all again, but trying to be objective I do not see it.
