  1. Becareful, some will call u negative haha You are totally right. This rotation as it is sucks, plain and simple... And the incredible thing is that we are likely going to go like this based on what cherries has been saying lately.
  2. You have a good point Bell and hopefully he doesn't turn into a 4.5 ERA pitcher as he's been in the past. While his GB% is high and doesn't walk too many people, his SO/9 and HR/FB are mediocre. It could translate into a lot of double plays and/or bombed.
  3. No? I'm not worried about the 2014 guy (3.4 ERA), I'm worried about the 2009-2013 guy (4.5 ERA) who actually represents more what he really is.
  4. Let me put it this way... I have zero confidence in Porcello next year just as I didn't have with Capuano in 2014. I see that some of you have high hopes on him and the other arms of the combo, maybe based on what he posted last year or his GB% or I do not know. Sorry but I do not. I think that he will be a 4.5 ERA pitcher and will be destroyed. Hopefully I eat my words.
  5. yeah my bad.. but they are still similar... and that was kind of the point. When I said they are in the same basket, was because first off of what I remembered and secondly when you look at some stats they are similar. On the other hand if u want to look at war or Gb or whatever, of course you will find differences.
  6. Check out the numbers, I already presented to u.
  7. ...that too haha Both are garbage to me.
  8. 2014 Capuanos FIP 3.67 SO/W 3.15 2014 Porcello FIP 3.91 SO/W 2.89 ....Still in the same basket.
  9. To me they are in the same basket, and if you rush me Capuano has been better thus far. Capuano career line K/9 7.5 B/9 2.8 ERA 4.2 ERA+96 FIP 4.22 Porcello career line K/9 5.5 B/9 2.2 ERA 4.3 ERA+98 FIP 4.03
  10. When I made the comment I didn't check out the stats, only based on what I remember but when you look at them and aside last season their numbers are kind of similar, in fact Capuano has a better career ERA AND after 10 years of service.
  11. Haha to me both are terrible pitchers, but that's me.
  12. I'd rather Nova over Capuano anyday. Somehow I have Capuano and Porcello in the same basket.
  13. The more I read the more I think we are going like this. Geez!
  14. If Cherries is not lying with his "We would feel really good if that's how we opened up", we are screwed up. Seriously, How can a 190+ team end up with a crappy rotation like this? How?. Wow.
  15. He better.
  16. Seems like Slim's hand is in effect. While Los Padres are trying to contend next season, Braves are all in rebuilding. Interesting how those divisions are looking like.
  17. Since 2009 he has averaged 180+ IP. Another anti Buch here. Sure, he could translate his 3.5+ ERA numbers just below 4.0 in the AL which is still decent for a No. 2 IMO.
  18. Gallardo is way better than the other pile we just added. Is he a true no.1? no, but he could be your solid No. 2. which we do not have.
  19. At ESPN Bosotn, they are projecting that the Red Sox will win the division with only 87 Ws. Bookers have also the Red Sox ahead 9/1. Seems like the division is the weakest version in the last 20 yrs or something.
  20. Since the emminent new relationships between CUBA-USA, a lot of more cuban players will go to U.S.. In Cuba baseball is a religion.
  21. Seems like he still needs to improve and make some adjustments in his bat. He is making more than Puig, isn't he? is he a 5 tool player like Puig?
  22. CWS continue loading the Ship. They just got Kottaras. Seems like the wind city finally will have good teams.
  23. Well if true, it will be Lackey for Gallardo and Kelly. Also, if they finish rounding the team with Shields.... I will be very happy. Shields and Gallardo?... sounds great.
  24. Yeah, not sure how much they left on the table.
  25. Hopefully it is via FA Fred. I do not want to give up prospects either.
