funny how cherry picking works around here, huh? LOL! Let's face it, the strategy was death wrong since day one. The pitching staff is a very bad one as some of us predicted in the offseason. Some drank the mediocre=good enough kool aid made by Ben, which is fine, but it's time to move on and put a real GM. It's enough, this team is a joke.

Thing is that this pitching staff was not a mediocre one when the season started, it was a very bad one since day one. Some of us said that over and over again in the offseason. As I said, the strategy was death wrong from the beginning. Here the results; we are one of the worst teams in that department. Regarding Porcello, Elk is right, He has no one to blame but himself. Said that, we need to rebuild the FO first, I do not care we are in the mid of the season... Start the rebuilding process right away, this team is a joke.

Any pitcher these days is better than Porcello. Porcello in the ALE is going to be destroyed. Try to send him CHC.

U? is the only one beating that drum and making s*** up expecting that it sticks on the wall since it match his flaw thoughts, i.e. He is trying to dodge the fact that Porcello is simply a bad pitcher, why? IDK. Elk, bell, me and others have provided links. On the other hand he has not provided a single evidence of his s*** up, instead and as always he insists in insulting and provoking people. Quoting Bruce Hornsby..."That's just the way it is, some things will never change..." LOL!

Correct. If you want a 4.25-4.5 ERA guy, you do not need to lock out a guy. Every year emerge a lot of pitchers with that profile or better via FA/farm/trades and way cheaper, so you do not need to commit that kind of money for a guy like Porcello. The thing is to pull the trigger at the right bird. Thing is that BC's telescopic sight is not working, since he is not a good hunter, sorry, GM.

They should have waited and see at least a dozen starts before giving him that contract. For this and other bad decisions in the last 4 years, BC has to go.

Yup and this is just a little taste of what is coming. They need to get rid of this guy somehow; as I said since day 1, ALEs teams will eat this guy alive. He is the worst SP in the AL. Send him to Chicago or something.

yup, U?'s modus operandi. BC has to go. Farrell has to go... but this thing is on Porcello. He is simply a bad pitcher with one fluke year (which wasn't that good). Nothing more, nothing less.

The BL is that other GMs always find a way to get good players and we don't. Said that, BC has to go.

Yup. Actually Porcello himself is indeed aware that the problem is his command and execution. As I said, shut him down until the all-star game and help him fix this.

Seems like the problem is not the using of his sinker. He is using it but, he has lost command. Porcello, dressed in funereal black while standing in front of his locker, dismissed the suggestion that he was "lost” on the mound. "No, I don't feel lost," he said. "I know what's going on. A lot of fat pitches. Bottom line is executing. That's it." While it was a huge mistake, first off trading him and then giving him that extension, It is not Farrell's or Ben's fault regarding his execution. This is on him and at least he is aware of it. Shut him down till the all-star game and work with him whatever he has to work. it's enough already.
